It is too late if you haven't registered as PV for 2005 kids with NYPS. Check the school website. http://www.nyps.moe.edu.sg/
I also missed out the PV for my 2005 DD1.
Now planning to write in for my 2007 DD2.
Need some help from the parents, what will you write for the \"Reason to choose NYPS?\"
Thanks a million -

Thanks a million[/quote]My hubs is an old boy of NYPS and he says that the chinese culture and discipline there is tip top and they are proud of that. Think you can base on that and craft a suitable reason
Maybe....
\"I chose NYPS as it has a strong culture based on our forefather's traditions and values which I hope that my children will learn and pass on to my future generations.\" -
I intend to write that also. But will it be too short. Do i need to write abt 100 words? Any more points to highlight?
-
Maybe you can write about how you observed that the students there are well-behaved and you are very impressed by it. You can just add more description

I honestly saw how the students behave and I would say that they are much much much better behaved than other kids their age. (I'm comparing with other 'popular schools', not with neighbourhood schools alone.) -
Thanks a lot

Hi nanyang parent
Check with you, I know the Sch alway jam with alot car dropping off their children, is the Sch back gate open? So that the parent have a choice to park their car near and walk at back door… And also if rain, at least the kids won’t get wet.
Pls advise! Thanks! -

in the morning, you can drop off the kids at Gate A (King's Road) or Gate C (Coornation Road), or drive through Gate A and drop the kids along the drive way and exit via Gate B (for exit only, no entry). People drive though because of their subsequent routing to work / other school .Hi nanyang parent

when picking up, there is strictly no drive in. Pick up outside Gate A or Gate C. Gate B is reserved for school bus exiting as the school bus will have privilege to enter the compound before dismissal time and children will board school bus within school compound.
There is covered walkway all the way from Gate A to link the whole school.
In case of rainy weather, you can drop off at Gate A or C (there is umbrella service by teachers / PV); same for pick up after school. This is one school where teachers are rostered to do duty \"welcoming\" the kids every morning; and you can also see the principal and VP doing their duties without fail. (So if the parents are irresponsible drivers, the school will know who are their kids.......)
Parents can park at HDB carpark along Queens Road (Block 3 /4, Westlake Restaurant area)....and walk to school with umbrella
Please do not stop and wait along King's Road. Residents are empowered to call 999 for enforcement, and they can submit photos to TP and school admin. Stopping along King's Road choke up traffic and motorists are forced to drive against traffic, knocking down students crossing the road. It has happened before, and you don't them to be your kids.... -
Can the kids walk in thru gate b?

Can the kids walk in thru gate b?
Officially No. because the cars are rushing out in the morning through Gate B
some kids do sneak in when they walk along the pavement......the guard there controlling the traffic will frown at it
imagine...the cars are either turning right or left when exiting gate B....it is quite unsafe to enter it......and if the cars need to stop and give way....the tail back to Gate A will be terrible -
Okok… So no short cut for dd… 2min walk to sch no more… Lolz… Just realised if she wakes up at six, she can take her time to get ready for sch. 630 very rush…
