Haha no dear... The total is 42 places... If there are only 18 places left for balloting out of 2km, it means that 24 places already taken up by those staying within 1km and 1-2km...cherrygal:

Have not received any email or post from Pei Chun thou I check the school website indicating the successful applicatants names and that we would be formally advise by post by 16th Aug.

nope, educational in fact......with gahmen new immigration policy to open the floodgate.....we will see more competition for P1 from now on, this is despite that our birth rate has declined since 2002......Juanthedragon:

I am grateful for the experience, my child may not get to go to the school of choice, she will if she studies hard and make it there on her own merit...... -

Does this means 79 people are all staying within 1 km and they need to ballot for the remaining 73 seats?
Or the 79 people are a mixture of within 1 km, 1-2km and more than 2km? -

79 all within 1km, only 73 places for SAJS this year. You cannot see this information on MOE number of vacancies page but if you go to the MOE schools conducting ballot page or the SAJS website, you will be able to see the 79 are all within 1km.Can anyone advice for SAJS :

No, my child did not secure a place with MCS. I will now consider phase3 school for her.
I will now seriously consider relocating my family overseas.
