Hi all. I would like to check out Molin for my kid... where is the nearest center to TNS? thanks in advance.mathsparks:
Hi starrenee, my son also enjoyed his yrs in tns. Quite a lot of tns kids attend Chinese enrichment at Molin. Mine did too.
Between Berries and Molin, which would you recommend for primary school level?
By the way i have been following this forum and the amount of info sharing is just wonderful. I have had so many of my questions answered without my even asking ! :lovesite: -

Thanks mathsparks. Will check out Molin too. Can you share why you pick Molin over Tien Hsia?

is really reassuring to know your kids enjoy their yrs in TNS. My DS will be in P1 next year....and me, like starrenee, also is apprehensive whether the kids and me (as the parents) can survive!
Starrenee,
i actually just started my DS in Molin (after reading through the thread in kaisu forum) in Aug. They only have the AM slot for sat only. -
Hi Doramon,
How do you find Molin so far? Did your son studied in other enrichment centres before Molin?doramon:

Phew...i think you both are the first I know that says your kids enjoy TN. Thanks for the reassurance. I;m not sure if this is the correct forum to ask ....but since both me and hubby dont speak chinese, we are worried if our gal can cope with chinese in TN. Any particular chinese tuition center you would strongly recommend (that's popular with TN kids)? Thanks!
Starnee, i guess the pressure comes from us parents. Align yourself with your kid on your expectations right from the start. This helps both parties. Like i hear friends who say to each other oh my son dun need to be top student just pass PSLE can already...but 1st spelling come back get 7 out of 10 start panicing and look for tuition. Be truthful to yourself and your kid...have an open conversation and set each other's expectations right, both you and your kid will enjoy taonan school...
BTW, i have 3 kiddies, so far 2 in taonan P3 and P1, enjoying themselves like no body's business (in guizheng, in gymnastics, sailsmart etc.). My wife runs a home based tuition class and we are going to be based in Kembangan next year, if you are interested drop me a PM.
Cheers -
Thanks for your advice. But i think despite all good intentions, i think every parent will panic also if all students do excellent and your child cannot cope. I heard from my fren that his fren was asked to pull up his kids result (last 5 performer) otherwise they will recommend for the kid to shift school. After hearing things like dat.,…wah sia! panic like siow!

I guess you are right in that perspective...that's why we have this forum
But generally P1, P2 work is relatively simple, problem comes with child hits P3 onwards...the workload as well as difficulty level increases exponentially. -

I have not heard of TNS teachers advising parents to transfer their children. But they do inform parents should there be any areas that their children are relatively weaker than the rest of the class. -

This actually happened to me.
DS was getting full marks for his 听写 until recently when there was a change in the Chinese teacher. The new teacher is very strict with accuracy of the strokes or penmanship. And DS starts to get lots of corrections because of his poor handwriting.
I panicked, worried about his confidence and his year end exam.
So I went to popular and bought him a Chinese calligraphy book and started revising the strokes with him.
