I was driving near corporation primary along the jurong west street 23 road and noticed that there is a notice stating a covered walkway will b completed by 30 nov 2010. This walkway will link the bus stop to the side gate of the school. So the school is planning to have it soon. Hm… But I not sure will there another walkway along the old folk home stretch then?

Hi, you are rite that they are constructing a covered walkway near the school side gate and that was what the reply I got from the ex-Vice-Principal. As for the the walkway that I mentioned from the main road to the school's main gate, her reply was that it is under the LTA's control and so she needs more time to get it thru

No, you can buy them on different days too. There would be dates given in a list on Orientation day.

But I didn't find the queues too long that day. I reached the canteen earlier I think. So I just bought them that day.

During the first week of school, you can also buy them because the uniform vendor will set up stall as well.

The uniform is very simple, and hence the cost is very cheap! My hubby had such a pleasant surprise at the cost that he joked that we should buy more tees and shorts for everyday wear as well.

Of course I didn't

But ya, some schools have designers design their school uniforms so they tend to be very expensive. I like it that it is cheap here. I let my son play all he wants in the uniform.

They had painting for PAL programme the first term and he got paint everywhere on the shirt. It doesn't cause heart pain when I see that, even though I did try hard to get the stains off but couldn't. So I am glad the costs are low and I am able to just replace them easily each year.

Hi Hi! :welcome: :welcome: to join the CPS Kiasu Parents Group . If I don't remember wrongly (cos 2 years ago liao ) - you can buy the uniforms, PE attires and the books on the orientation day. Not too worry about the long Q as there are a few counters for the respective uniform / books sale counters. Oh yes, do rem to bring cash or cheque book with you cos they do not accpet nets or visa.

Ok ok. do you still remember estimate how much to prepare for the uniforms and book etc? How many set of uniform and PE attire will be enough? i so anxious just the thought of buying new shoes and bags for her P1.

I can't rem the exact amount; so sorry. I bought her 2 sets of uniforms and 2 sets of P.E. attires. Then 1st term of P1 I bought an extra set of PE attire because I realise she needs that not only for PE lesson but for other excursions or actvities . I think you should recevice the Book list before the orientation date so from there you may know the estimate amount to cater for.

Guys any idea how much is the bus fees?

For my child is $35/month and the distance is less than 3 mins drive to the school . You may call this number 8182 8191 Eileen. She is in-charge of the school buses operation.
