Monster Mummy:
Not necessary. he/she says Can Buy/Sell, not get it via buying.
If P1 places need to buy, it will not solve the problem. It will become rich people places, rich children to compare what they have,
Those balloted in can chose not to sell mah..verykiasu2010:
Not exactly true leh.. if the poor got balloted a place, it'll be their chance of being rich.... :evil:then they will complain to the gahmen that they are not rich enough, not fair, .........

Hi Parents,
Any parent who had registered their kid to P1 in ACS junior next year and wanted to change to SJI.
Kindly PM and to see whether we can work something out with MOE to do a exchange of school.
My Son had allocated a place in SJI through balloting. -

I hope that day will never come. Local rich people will buy places in schools, foreigners will do the same too. -
Actually how does the balloting system works? Does a school allocate a number of places for Phase 2B and Phase 2C? And if the number of applicants say for phase 2B has exceeded the places allocated, then there will be balloting even though I'm a parent volunteer? Hope somebody can help me understand better. Thanks in advance! :?

At the end of phase 2A, the remaining places are divided 50-50 between 2B and 2C.

For any phase where number of applicants exceed number of places, balloting will be conducted. Under this situation, places will first be allocated to those living within 1km. If there are not enough places to satisfy those living within 1km, then there will be balloting for those living within 1km ONLY. Sad to say, those living outside 1km will have to look elsewhere, or try again in the later phase. If there are leftover places after allocating to those within 1km, then places will then be allocated to those 1 - 2km, again subjected to balloting if demand exceeds supply. Finally, those living outside 2km will get their chance if there are still places left. -

No, balloting in maris stella was done for those staying 1-2 km in year 2010. All staying within 1km got in without balloting.
