Ok ok. do you still remember estimate how much to prepare for the uniforms and book etc? How many set of uniform and PE attire will be enough? i so anxious just the thought of buying new shoes and bags for her P1.
I can't rem the exact amount; so sorry. I bought her 2 sets of uniforms and 2 sets of P.E. attires. Then 1st term of P1 I bought an extra set of PE attire because I realise she needs that not only for PE lesson but for other excursions or actvities
. I think you should recevice the Book list before the orientation date so from there you may know the estimate amount to cater for.

Guys any idea how much is the bus fees?
For my child is $35/month and the distance is less than 3 mins drive to the school
. You may call this number 8182 8191 Eileen. She is in-charge of the school buses operation.

Thats very low :celebrate: :thankyou:[/quote]Yes, but the bus is always so crowded :stupid: and my pick-up point here is the last stop so at certain days the bus came quite late (between 7.35-7.50am). Usual timing is between 7.20am-7.30am.Champion:

Thank you for welcoming me. Great to know more parents here. Nvr expect the bus fee is low. I still thinking whether to book one way or both way. I have not move in to my house which I register. I will be staying near the JP there.
For mummies whose kids already study in CPS, is there any issue or problems from the boys home opposite the school? -
Wow, yes, very happy now the forum is so active.

about the uniforms, like champion, i also bought 2 sets each at first, then i also added another set in the 1st week but I added the formal shirt, not PE attire, because I only wanted to iron clothes once a week, so 3 shirts would be best. (2 days PE in a week, so only need to wear shirts 3x a week)
about cost, I can't remember exactly, but it was very cheap. $5 for shirt and $6 for shorts. something like that. I also bought socks from them cos it felt like it was good quality and it did last very long, till now, still very good.
about bus fees, mine are also $35 per month, but i live further than champion (near Jurong Point). i think the fees also depend on the size of bus. mine is also very big and hence the cost is shared among all the kids.
the downside is, there are many more stops along the way before it reaches the school. who knows, champion, maybe our kids are on the same bus?? haha
i pay $15 more per month for the CCA bus. i think it is very reasonable and cheap compared to what i pay for my kindy son (my 2nd boy). but hubby said cannot compare cos the other bus is smaller. naturally more ex.
oh yes, they are very reasonable also. for June, they didn't charge me for the CCA bus, i thought that's very nice of them.
And EVERY time i sms Eileen (champion gave her no above), she always replies. very responsible. i sms her when my son doesn't take school bus, so that the bus won't wait for him. -
oh sorry, forgot one more Q.
summergem, the books cost me about $115 and I bought everything cos hubby was very kiasu. i was going through the list trying to see if i could get any book from friends with older kids, but he said just buy all.
I didnโt buy all the optionals though, most of them are stationery that I already have, like colour pencils, crayons.
later i compared with other friends, $115 is very cheap for a full set. other school bookshops may charge more for the exercise books. -

and I believe the security over at the Boys home is quite tight.

Itโs really good to have this thread. I also thinking to let my gal go to phonics class at The Frontier CC opposite JP. Anyone tried before? My gal has problems in spelling and I am afraid she could not catch up in P1. Or am I too kiasu, hahaโฆ
