I've received the orientation slip from the school but there is no mention on the purchase of books, uniforms etc? Will all these be done on the orientation day? Will we be informed of all these details separately before the orientation day? OLQP mummies, kindly advise.
Thanks!

Finally, the school has revamped their website...

Hi luvmum,
If i am not mistaken, I received the orientation notification and sales of books and uniforms together by mail.
For the books purchase, i wld reccommend you to order thru the website... pacific bookstores before the orientation day. https://www.pacificbookstores.com/index.aspx#2
you will be given a order no then the bookstore will have it pre-packed in a box then you collect it and check the contents inside. it is more hassel- free. you can even have it deliver to your place

Hi, I am new to kiasu parents forum and am very happy to find this parents networking group. I have 2 gals in CHIJ (OLQP). Elder one in P3, younger one in P1. Generally, I hv no complaints about the sch. Yes, I agree that some of their admin staff are not as friendly. I understand that all P4s need to participate in CCA. Any good recommendation which CCA my P3 gal shld join next yr? I am thinking of Brownie. Just wonder how often do they meet for activities? Can anyone pls enlighten me?
Thanks a million

Yes! Finally CHIJ (OLQP) revamped their web page! It is sooo much better now. I like it that the teachers' email add are posted there. Makes life for me, a working mother, a whole lot easier. Thanks Mrs Tan.
Really appreciate your staff for taking the trouble to email parents on important matters like SA and CA timetable. As well as upcoming events. Well done! Mr Yap.
Dear Parents, if you are thinking of putting your gals in CHIJ (OLQP), welcome to the family.
The school's academic achievements may not be outstanding but I like the moral values that they impart to the gals. At least the gals are happy that's whats important right? They are children afterall, pls give them a happy childhood so they can savour those happy memories when they become adults. I stay in Jurong area but chose to put my gals in CHIJ(OLQP). We are catholics. I was hesitant at first 'cos of distance from home to sch. But the sch has taken care of transport issue by appointing a sch bus company that will pick children doing CCAs at 4pm.
My colleague regret putting his granddaughter in PeiHwa, he say there very stressful. His granddaughter no longer as cheerful after entering P1. She is struggling with HMT. Thank God CHIJ (OLQP) doesn't make their kids do HMT at P1. Phew. My gals are weak in chinese. -
Hi cluessmum,
So happy to read your post. We have so much in common. My gal also in P3 and I also live in Jurong (Jurong East). What class is your girl in? -
Hi Lock,
My gal in P3 Joy. How about yours? -
My gal is in 3hope, formerly frm 1love, 2peace. Any chance ur gal n mine were classmates before?

Hi Lock,
Think the gals may not know each other, my was in P1JOY, P2Faith. Her result not so good. But they may take the same sch bus (if your gal takes the sch bus). The bus driver is uncle nathan. -
Hi,
I am Pradeep, I have enrolled my daughter for P1, 2011. I stay at woodlands st 13. I would like to know if CHIJ bus offers shuttle service from this area. Would like to hear from parents in the nearby neighborhood.
Thank you,
Best regards,
Pradeep
