How to drink milk from a pyramid? Must poke straw? :!:

nightsky87, you're showing your lack of age.

I can't remember exactly although I had quite a lot of these. Most have been my mom who \"prepared\" it for me. I guess you cut the tip off and poke a straw in? :?

            Hi,

Anyone remember \"Paperdolls\" with changable clothings? Last time there were no Popular bookshop, only traditional bookshop just below the flats or in the estate town central. All these paperdolls can only be found there. Changed them with different clothes that sold together.

            Fun hor?

Shhhh... I used to like playing with those dolls myself  I just love the modular concept of being able to add accessories to something. It's not very different from changing iPhone covers or buying mobile accessories these days.

So fun hor? Now cant find all these things anymore. I always go china, all the toys are also the modern ones. Traditional toys from wood carving also gone. Those were the days we really enjoy playing.

Remember the \"Ting Ting Candy\"? An old man holding a round big aluminium tray with wooden stands? Candy coated with flour to prevent stinking together. 10cent will be few pieces on a paper. 30cents will be put in a small plastic bag. What I love most is the malt candy with 2sticks. We have to pull and mix and roll it till it turned whitish then yummy.

I just checked with my M’sian colleague and she says that you can still find these in M’sia. She’s a decade younger than me but she played with these as well.

Hahahaha! By the way, the magnetic ones are easily available at Learn
Thru Play shops. I saw at BPP outlet. A bit too hardy for me, but good
for younger kiddies who are not too careful with the tearing part! 😉

Ice-balls? round in shape with many tastey colours splashed on it and can suck on it for a long time on a sunny hot day? Something like ice kacang without the kacang.

Tua behlong? a toy tie to the leg and keep skipping over it repeatedly without tripping. Once tripped, then next player takes over..

Chiclet chewing gum? Each looked like size of a tooth?

Games we play without requiring anything...
                      Curry yong tau hu?
                      AEIOU?
R.O.C.K - cars! name all the cars....countries...name all the countries.....this was a game that we needed to expand our general knowledge in order to play.

Paperdolls, I used to make alot my own.

                      Play marbles

                      Kuti Kuti

Made home-made kites to fly from kitchen window.....

Dad made lanterns for mooncake festival

Hopskotch - one of my daily game - drawn on sandy ground or use chalk to draw

Use paper to make this 4 compartment game....\"What colour do you want?\" Upon choosing, there is a message below... Think this is a girly game, boys may not know.

Rubberband shooting game....can be very painful if shoot hard
Rubberband to make star-shape to transfer to another person.

Pretend 7-mth getai play on the bed (as a stage)

Little red beans (相思豆) used to go JB alot and picked alot from there.

If you look at the list, during my time...hardly anything needs money... We had alot of low-budget fun....very little products.

Add later if I remember more....

Believe me or not, I have never eaten a ice kacang ball.

I love playing the five stones and four stones.

My dad/mum pour the milo or tea into the coffee cup saucer to cool down my drink at the coffee shop.

My dad carried me to pri school when it rains as my school also gets flooded after heavy rain.

My hubby told me that he makes paperdolls for his sisters last time when young.
