You got budget? Mine's a cheap Morries oven from Carrefour.

$79.90 (still same price now). Bought it 4+ yrs ago, using it on daily basis either to grill chicken or other meats, bake and reheat food.

      Serves me very well πŸ™‚
& not so heartache on the price if you don't use it often or if it breaks down πŸ˜›

      Hi
When I use my microwave oven to grill chicken wings, I have to flip them around otherwise the under part will not be cooked. Is that the case for your oven? Can you also share if this oven can bake cakes? I can't bake with my current oven. Thinking of buying one.

Microwave is different from conventional oven!

For my oven I've made the following and more:
      - Sponge cakes
      - Cupcakes and muffins
      - Brownies
      - Otah
      - Apple cumble
      - Souffle
      - Baby biscuits
      - Biscuits
      - Dog treats (using organic ingredients which are meant for humans)
      - Bread
      - Buns
      - Roast turkey/chicken/pork/beef/mutton
      - Baked fish/rice/noodles
      - Spicy drumlets/winglets

For mine it depends on how we use it. To save the hassle of scrubbing and cleaning, I put the food on a non-stick pan or on my silicon mat. If I do it this way, I need to flip the chicken winglets for it to be brown evenly on both sides. But both sides will be cooked if I don't flip, just that one side will not look nice and brown.

If my maid is willing to scrub, then we put the winglets on the metal grill. Does not need flipping at all. Remember to leave the drip tray inside, else you'll have a hard time cleaning!

Not sure if it's this one but it looks like it: http://www.jk.com.sg/index.aspx?uc=products_proddetail&ID=292&Page=

I read the specs, same as mine πŸ™‚ Can put the chicken on the rosterrie to roast (it'll turn on it own).

Thank you so much. I’ll check it out. It’s amazing this lowly priced oven can bake and grill!

I really like baking so I really suggest to my mother to buy me a Microwave Convection Oven. It was a very great oven that I have seen, I think. This oven helps in faster cooking and the convection heating provides the necessary browning and other results that are best on convection rather than on microwaves.
