All About GEP

The pressure usually comes from parents then anywhere else.[/quote]
It's not only the GEP but also happening in the mainstream. I heard one P5/P6 kid from a school in the West commit suicide last year. Really sad...chamonix:

Hmmmm, poor kids. :gloomy:
True, but GEPers will have it tougher. Not only is the syllabus tougher than mainstream, but this group is seen as 'doing no wrong' in the sense , they will not fail, they will do well in every aspect PSLE, DSA... I mean won't you raise an eyebrow if someone tells you a GEPer fails any subject? That's why if they are not 'naturally gifted', the pressure on them is going to be immense, and parents' support and understanding is so vital. -
What is the advantage of putting our kids in GEPS course? :?

1. more challenging curriculum
2. smaller class size
If your child is grossly underchallenged in mainstream, GEP would be good for him -
I'm with you on this.

I agree. Quite often the gifted kids are bored with regular syllabus by P3 and they start to cruise along and not pay much attention.MrsSeah:
