Which are the original IP schools' COP that will drop after the introduction of these 7 new IP schools?Pen88n:
I believe in this batch of 7 new IP sec, there will be some govt sec schs, in addition to the indept schs. In addition, with the addition of these 7 new IP schs, who is to say that the existing batch of IP schs may not lower COP entry standard? Eg. RV is far for most except those staying in Boon Lay. With the introduction of these new IP sec, maybe more kids will opt for the new IP sec and RV COP might drop.

Another question. Why is TJC's 4-year http://www.tjc.edu.sg/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=30 not extended downards like NJC for a 6-year through IP?
Physical space constraint, manpower logistic problems?

I don't know whether SNGS will be in the line-up of the 7 new IP schools, but this is one school that will not be expensive. Is Cedar Girls' the same? CHS is also one of the S$20/mth schools, like NJC.

VC's mum[/quote]I guess DH and maybe even NJC's COP will drop. Currently, many girls with high PSLE scores but missed RGS and NYGH COP join them. With SCGS, MGS and St Nick getting to implement IP (if our guesses are right), I think some of these girls will choose these new IP schools. -

VC's mum[/quote]That would be anyone's guess. I supposed it will be known when the new IP sec schs start operating and MOE subsequently release the COP of each sch after the PSLE S1 posting.
I personally think Temasek Academy will extend to Sec 1 intake in time to come - not sure what is not ready yet. Esp with the addition of 7 new IP sec, Temasek Academy should really consider this move. -

I understand MOE has a press conference this morning. But dunno why still no news. My MOE friend asks me to watch evening news.

Now that you mention it, I think Temasek Academy will be one of the 7 new IP schools. -
