I tot it is applicable to those in P5 now? They take PSLE in 2011 and these IP schools start at 2012?

2013 for SCGS, SNGS and CHS. 2012 for the others.

From MOE announcement (annex B), only Victoria and Cedar start in 2012, the other 5 start in 2013[/quote]You're right.

So, if you’re from CHS, SNGS or SCGS, would you choose to stay in the IP track in your school or would you choose to join another IP with an established JC?

I would choose another one. Bc new JC no history and record.

Some will go and some will stay. I think it may not be that bad to stay on with the new JC. The quality of JC depends largely on the quality of student intake, since its intake are from these 3 IP schools, I think their quality should be quite good. Ever wonder why the Govt wants to set up a new JC instead of linking these 3 schools with an existing JC, say CJC? Personally, I think I will more likely stay on and join the newly established JC, compared to if my IP school is linked with one of the existing JCs (other than those already linked up with IP schools).

Victoria School and Cedar looks most advantaged from this IP reform... can start earlier...

also seems in future, there will be a BIG 4 family of Schools linked to and originated from the most prestigious boys Schools in Singapore:
              Raffles Institution,
              Victoria School,
              Hwa Chong Institution (Chinese High)
              Anglo Chinese School (indep)

Big 4 brands for Singapore soon should be Anglo Chinese, Hwa Chong , Raffles and Victoria (alphabetically)

Would you consider St Joseph in the list too?

Actually i wouldn't mind if that new JC was CHS & SNGS. But with SCGS is really weird.

Bc CHS/SNGS at least have some common history and background.

But in the end, if really no choice, you think they don't take, meh!

If the choice is between joining the new JC with many of the Sec schoolmates and moving to another existing JC (assuming not qualifying for the top few JCs), which way would you choose? just for discussion sake -:)
