Can I check whether does CHIJ has Cut off points for their P6 students when they go to Secondary School? Or is it a confirm case the sec sch will accept the students of any point that they get in PSLE?

The cut off for express stream for affiliated students is between 200-220. If the kid gets below 200, d Sch will only offer Normal Academic stream to the child if she wants to study in d affiliated sec IJ.
Think d IJ pri schs all hv similar program n std. It is d sec Sch dat has different std wif IJ TPY being the best after St Nics. -

I believe the affiliated secondary does have a cut-off for entry into the school...as long as the student meets the minimum criteria for both express or normal. The cut off for express stream for affiliated students is between 200-220. I've received memo from the school and it is confirmed that to go to affliated IJ sec Express stream, the girls must get minimum 200 (higher than national minimum to Express). If the girls wish to study in IJ sec with say 199, though qualify for Express stream the sch will only offer Normal Academic.

[/quote]Having an affiliated sec school helps somewhat...as compared to having no affiliated sec school and have to compete with other students for a place in a good sec school.janet_lee88:

Hi can anyone enlighten me on which is the affiliated secondary school for CHIJ OLQP? Thinking of putting DD there (registering next year) instead of MGS (I am under Phase 2c 1-2km, so very slim chance) though I like the CCA in MGS.
