Could you tell your girl to get the classmates to inform the boarding officers abt this smelly wash? I think this needs to be looked into. Who knows how clean the washer/dryer are?

She mentioend it was the dryer and yes, the girls will be informing the boarding officer. But i also suspect they din use enough washing powder ...

She still complains that her room is very warm. With table fan right infront of her, she still feels warm. She on level 7, top level - guess thats why.

:shock: Have not heard from my girl about the smelly smell. By the way they did not use dryer. They wasted $2 just to figure out how to use the machine last night :roll: (good learning experience for them) We actually bought her a portable hanging rack to dry her clothes.

My boy sms me this afternoon telling me he would not hv sufficient change of uniforms. We only hv 3 sets (including the Polo T on Wed)


The free laundry svc works like this: submit dirty ones on Mon/Wed/Fri. Collection of cleaned ones on Wed/Fri. No wonder the boarding staff said hardly any student exceeds 17 pcs per week and told me can submit socks n underwear tge with the uniforms for free washing.

My girl has 3 sets (exclude Polo-T) and I'm thinking worst case I will provide laundry service to ensure she has enough to change :lol:

Told mine to share the washing with other girls so tat they can save some $$...[/quote]It is a portable hanging rack (L:57cm B:23cm H:67cm) I bought from Seng Siong cost $19.90, she can move the rack to anywhere she wants and is useful. Told her to share with room mate also.

Ya should share and save $, anyway they dun hav many to wash per person. She share with 3 other friends.

Anyway, I gave my boy a small tub of washing powder, tied a small spoon to the tub and told him, one flat scoop for low water level, 2 scoops for medium and 3 scoops for high. See how clean the wash are, then adjust the next time.

Wow, 7th floor must be warm. Maybe need a strong standing fan to blow the stagnant hot air in the room, not just blow at her.

We do not hv a dryer at home. Must we remove the clothing immediately after the cycle is completed? If left inside, wld the clothing smell weird?

Although you use a dryer, it is good to air the clothes before keeping them. Clothes from dryer tends to have a smell so I prefer natural dry.

Dont use dryer too so not sure how to use it.

Told her to send all her laundry today and see what is being rejected. Very likely she will bring whole load of dirty home clothes home this week ...

It would be good if they allow us to go to their rooms again this weekend just to ensure that everything is in order ... I being kia-su, i know!
