My son's teacher has told his class that if, for some reason, a child is too sick to write during PSLE, the sch will arrange for a teacher to write on this behalf. The child will have to recite letter by letter, and the teacher will write it down for him. :stupid:
Not sure if it's true or the teacher was just joking.
In the event that the child is unable to write, a teacher, frm another school, will be doing the writing for him/her, word for word. For longer or more difficult words, the child will also be asked to spell it out. However, if the child is able to write, then extra time will be given as a special concession. -

I did that for the first week when he was strickly not allowed to write. It was ok for Chinese and Science, but not possible for Maths. That was why DS felt that he must be able to write for himself even to use left hand....

For ‘extra time’, the best is if the doctor can give a detailed letter on how much extra time is needed. Usually they’ll give around 10-20 minutes extra per paper. Not much help.

Doctor will not be able to predict. I was told my DS's form teacher that the maxium extra time will be 20 minutes.
Anyway, better than nothing!
