Have you read the agenda for Orientation Day in 25 Sep? It is stated only one parent/guardian is allow to be with the child in the hall during orientation. So the other parent (if tagging along) has to stay at the canteen? Hmmm...... strange organising. If they state only parents are allow with the child, this I can understand.

Can I ask, what is the P.A.S.S.I.O.N group about? The school wants parents to decide whether to join the group and reply on 25 Sep 2010. What about the enrichment courses organised by the School Alumni? Will you be letting your child attend? I doubt my child can attend to any of them because the timing clashes with my girl's enrichment class on weekends.

Other than the school bookshop, dunno where we can buy elsewhere.

As for school uniform, I go directly to Chop Kong Chong at SSC.

May i have the full address for \"Chop Kong Chong\" at SSC? Thanks

If I am not wrong, that uniform shop in SSC is directly outside the Popular Bookstore next to the fengshui shop. You can’t missed it if you go to Popular.

Yes, CKC (chop kong chong in short) is located at #02-13.


It is near the popular entrance at a corner. The shop operates daily from 11am - 8.30pm.

Hi dads and mums (esp those living in Yishun),


Am seeking help from SHHK members for recommending myself to our clan (gosh; never in my life I'm so eager and anxious to be known I'm a hokkien)... I lived 1-2km from CF; so I thought it make sense for my 2005 girl to gain a place in Phase2B (pls correct me if my thinking is wrong)...

Now am in the \"panic\" mode after reading the agnoy, pain, tension, headaches and stress the parents is going through just for the P1 enrollment (what have we done to deserve this?!!!)...

And... ok, I admit I'm just too slack to worry about this (I always thought our govt has everything well-planned for us; ok, I'm wrong; at least for this P1 enrollment) until I realized the tough competiton in every year P1 enrollment; so I need your kind help in recommending me to obtain that honourable membership...

Please help if you can (at least for the sake that I'm still online reading and seeking help at wee-hours )... PANIC, PANIC, PANIC...

Im not a SHHK member. But from what i know, i think it is too late to 'sign up' as a SHHK to get 'priority' under 2B cos SHHK controls their recommendation letter quite closely - and usually you will have to be an 'active' member for at least a few years before they will recommend you.

Im assuming you are talking about registering your 2005 born child - if it is, it might be too late in this aspect.

Actually I am currently staying in SK, my mum who is living in Yishun is also moving to SK... The school registration here is SK is... nerve-wrecking... (I only need to register next yr..) I am a Northland old ger, so should I actually sign my child under phase 2A2... as northland also not a bad school and quite good compare to the popular but so-so schools in SK.... at wits end

So should I just sign for my old school and let hb nag at me all the way... or join in the battleground in SK???

Is there a particular school you are looking at in Seng Kang? Dont think all the schools are battlefieldzones there.

actually… below my flat is the super new North vista… but if u know this school, it is a new approach school…and out of my neighbours… turnover or transfer rate is like 90%… some dun even manage to transfer at P2… need to wait till P3 then have vacancy at other choice school…


I am wihin 1km to onli 2 schools… the other are either within the 1-2km zone…like nan chiau or compassvale pri. think I may shake leg to wait for Phase 2A2…
