I called Bibi Baba ytd afternoon, boys' shirt size 13 is out of stock. Bibi Baba has no idea when they wld get the cloth to make the shirts.

All the JH1s all chiong for uniform? All have learnt that their uniforms ain't enough.

I only asked and know for sure size 13 (the smallest boy's shirt size) is out of stock. Other sizes I dunno.

Doesn't matter if it smells then, just dump one side and wait for Friday.

        Not our style.

          Jennifer:

I understand from my boy that for last week, no fish or whole egg is served for dinner. No milk provided during breakfast either. The hot choco is very watery. He ended up drinking coffee most of the time for breakfast.

Do you hv any concern abt these:
          1) No fish
          2) No whole egg
          3) Drinking coffee most of the time
          4) No milk
          5) Watery hot choco

I know serving fresh fish is quite a headache in a canteen setting, but at least serve canned tuna/sardine/salmon or fish fingers once a week?

          Eggs shld be easily prepared.

Why no milk? I thought some parents feedback last year's no milk and the sch has taken into account. Why this year batch not served milk?

When is the recess break for JH1s? If the food served like that maybe can skip? Starve till break.
Agreed that eggs should be easily prepared but no milk during breakfast can be excused bah? If we take into account the boarding fees per term, quite cheap, can't expect too much?

          Think you misunderstood my post.

I hv no complaint abt the quality or quantity of food served during breakfast or dinner. \"Paid only this much, cant expect too much\" this I understand. My boy can skip eating at recess break becos he has a full breakfast. In our family, eating breakfast is a must. I do not allow my children to starve till break.

During the parents' tour, the boarding master told us last year milk was served, so I expected to see this being done this year too. If the sch tells me if someone is allergic to milk and the whole cohort will not be served milk, no prob since we can always buy our own packaged milk or get those 3-1 Milo or whatever.

Maybe some child is allergic to milk? I heard that if any child who is in boarding is allergic to any particular foods, then that food will be off the meal list for that term.(!!!).

            oic.

Have meat already, no egg is fine. It's just another form of protein. We don't eat WHOLE eggs at home either everyday.
The doc recommends my two skinny children eat a small egg everyday. To my understanding, fish n eggs contain omega oil which is good for health.

My son requested for MILO. So if you don't want your son to drink coffee, he can make his own earlier/later in the room?
Yes, will buy these for him.

Heard my boy say he was waiting for a group of girls to unload the machine so he could use.

How is that possible? I always thought boys n girls do not board on the same level. Are some levels mixed genders?
              phankao:
after using the dryer, immediately take out and shake the clothes out and hang. Then not much need to iron,
              Many thanks for this tip.

                .

They like to use the washing areas in the ground level bc they claim that the other areas on their own floor very dirty. Remember the posts (earlier in this thread) where a mum shared that her daughters' clothes came out very smelly? My boy said some of the dryers or washing machines have meat in them! He said left by those regular boarders (some floors have alot of regular boarders - my son's floor is one of them - can tell by the names on the doors). I remember noticing that their rooms tend to be quite messy/dirty too when I passed by last Sunday. ;( He say if leave things in the fridge, also have to be careful, bc they might be eaten up by regular boarders.

Anyway, none of my boys drink milk (whether or not they are allergic), so that's fine. Cheese & Tofu is good enough for them. They just never liked the smell/taste of milk after they weaned from mummy's milk in their preschool years. šŸ˜‰
