        Dharma:
        SaPan:

        seeking help from maths gurus here;

        (P5 maths, using models))
        leela and kumar shared a sum of money.
        leela has $90 less than kumar
        kumar gave 1/7 of his money to leela
        after that, leela has $10 more than kumar.
        how much did leela have at first.

        Kumar : 7u
        Leela : 7u - $90

        When Kumar gives Leela 1/7 if his money

        Kumar : 7u - 1u = 6u
        Leela : 7u - $90 + 1u = 8u - $90

        8u - $90 = 6u + $10
        2u = $100
        1u = $50

        Amy Leela had at first
        = $350 - $90
        = $260

        Hi Dharma,

        thanks for the answer.

        have a nice weekend!

        :thankyou:

                  How do i solve Maha Bodhi PSLE prelim 2010 paper 2 question 6. it is the apples and pear question sorry i dont have the picture available but the picture states that a apple costs 40 cents and pear costs 60 cents

                  Mrs Gopal and Mrs Ari went to the supermarket. Both women decided to spend all their money on either apples or pears and they would not buy the same fruit. If Mrs Gopal bought only pears, she would have 9 more fruit than Mrs Ari. If she bought only apples, she would have 41 more fruits than Mrs Ari. How much money has Mrs Gopal than Mrs Ari.

                  Thank you for helping me in both this question and previous ones :thankyou:
