Thanks, I think NYPS won't reduce the intake too... but it's just that many are worried about the building of the sports hall might affect the intake....will wait & see when the registration come ๐Ÿ™‚

I am NOT school admin, I am not sure of their thinking

The last time I was in the meeting with parents, no such idea was floated

It is unthinkable for NYPS to reduce the intake...even when they had to operate two campuses last time

Yes, it did \"reduce\" intake to the current 390 due to MOE requirement of max class size of 30 for P1 & P2 instead of 40. If remember correctly, the cut was 50 places...instead of 11 classes of 40, it is now 13 classes of 30....and at P4 onward it will be about 4 classes x 25 (GEP) and 9 or 10 classes x 40plus (mainstream), giving a P6 cohort of 460+ ~ 500....

        hi Dorisp,

yeah, my son is born in 2008โ€ฆ coming to 2 yo soon, and this kiasu mother is already thinking years aheadโ€ฆ

seems that PV is currently for 2007 batchโ€ฆ so i would have to wait till next year to submit my application if i am still keen. Gives me a great excuse to relax a little in the meantimeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

          Hi j3

Yeah you can meanwhile relax a little and enjoy the time with your boy. At the same time, do stay tune to these platforms as it is always good to know the latest developments and changes in policies pertaining to schooling issues for our children and be well preparped.

My boy is born in Yr 2006 so I have written to some schools for PV application and waiting for their reply. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi mummy of 3, I am not home now but I recall citing acedemic excellence and close proximity to school as the reason. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi mummies, can i ask is it too early to do PV if my ger is borned in 2008? If i start next yr when she is 3, is it ok? Will nyps accept since its 3 yrs earlier, will there be any expiry date? The reason why i asked is because i am a sahm now till my #2 grows older so i have a bit of time to spare now so thinking of making use of it rather than cope with work and PV in 2 yrs time when my ger turns 4.

one other reason you all can write is the wider range of enrichment courses and activities that the school provides, excellencies in CCA as well, besides the academic
