Spot on, ksi! :celebrate:ksi:
The fact is snow is not black.
So if it is factually not black, it will be \"No, it isn't\" regardless of how the tag question is phrased. -
hi all,
Just a quick question - for P1 composition, are the kids supposed to write in Past or Present tense?
Usually i would think for story it will be past tense, for more factual stuff it will be in present tense...
Or should I ask the school teacher on the expectation?
Thanks

I remember for my kids, they were supposed to write in past tense, there is no factual kind, even factual like diary is still to describe what happened in the past..so I think should be past tense. -

You should try TAS-The Alternative Story. They also post here regularly. I went for their parents workshop on creative writing and was very blown away. They really have a method and system to teach writing. I did not sign up as their centres a bit far for me but you can go to http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35&start=620talking about the composition. :x

Wow
My P1 DD's sch expects them to write compo with 3 paragraphs.
so advanced !!
Tks
A comment made by my girl's English teacher is that she writes her composition in a very descriptive manner...
I told my girl to imagine & pretend, but apart from that don't know what else to teach her...
Any tips to share?
