I AM A STUDENT and sorry for not replying for a long time :imsorry: :imsorry:How old is your boy?
I think you should let your boy attempt full examination papers, it will be of better accuracy.

Besides practise, I think it also help to expose the child to different questions and particularly those \"tricky\" ones. There are certain methods of looking at those. Once the child is familiar with the \"trick\", they are able to solve it with confidence.
Practise on the Astar booklets by Learning Interactive, a series of 7 topical booklets. A number of top primary schools are using them as supplements for non routine sums. Only available at the shop at Bras Basah Complex, $21 per set including solutions. All our students are using them for prelims and PSLE preparation for non routine sums especially for those in paper 2 from question 12 to 18, easily over 30 marks of the entire Maths paper. -

try this new book by EPH, Improve Your Thinking Skills in Maths Primary 6, Joyce Tan, $5.90 at Popular Bookshop.
Mock exam papers are ok, I suppose many parents are getting top school prelims exam papers 2010 though.biniv300:

For girls who keep making the same mistake, especially math, while is fine with other subjects, my personal opinion is that \"rejection\" of the subject or topic may be the main cause.
We can remember something easily if we \"accept/embrace\" i.e. \"interested\". Girls are more sensitive and egoistic and may develop greater dislike or even hatre for things that did not come easily to them. Changing from \"reject\" to \"accept\" needs tons of patience and encouragement. -

Glad to share with you my personal experience. I have had my hard time but its all worthwhile. I nearly died then. The toughest part is that the method of encouragement is different for my different girls and they compared, complaining that I was unfair. But I kept reminding myself : they are not stupid - only refusing to remember or think - the day will come. -
I agreed.Different child has to handle differently.
Am going thr this stage. Not only has to analysis the mood, the style of study, the ability etc...up to my neck.
Hey, u should be glad that you have walked thr that part of your life....
