anyway, if u have abt 10 days, u shd be able to cover sapporo, hakodate, niseko, otaru and another 2~3 isolated attractions. getting around by JR and bus quite ok…just need to watch the bus/JR schedule closely.
overall free and easy manageable (there are alot of recommended routes in the internet)

Are you travelling in dec with kids?

I had that in mind earlier but eventually gave up cos too much of hassle esp during the winter.

So, manage to book a good package and will be flying off in the month of dec.No more headache in searching thr the webs.

We are heading to Hokkaido in Dec as well. Now hunting around for winter clothings. All the cold weather wear that we have thus far are for above 0 degrees.


Kids’ shoes are a problem. Think will have to go online to find suitable shoes for them.

Yeap, we were thinkg of travelling F&E cos we think joining the tour group is very tiring, got to wake up early in the morning…

We are not sure whether there is any problem travel F&E in Japan during winter and also language problem.

We have decided yet.

I have done free and easy tokyo and osaka, and its easy.


But come to hokkaido, the place is big, cum its winter, and its not so easy to set somewhere as base cos the journey has to go on.

Moreover, needs domestic flight, when i factor in all the cost, i will think package is hassle free.

Just my thought.
