That's how Google adsense works.

so if each of us click them, will we help you earn peanuts to maintain the site?
Adsense basically allow media owners (portals like KSP.com) to sell ad space to advertisers, with Google deciding on which advertiser will appear on what ad space. Media owners have very little say as to who they want the ad space to go to: it depends on how much the advertiser is willing to pay Google just to be referred to whenever a keyword they target appears on a media owner's site.
So suppose an advertiser is selling some brain training service, and he thinks he wants to focus on people looking for the keywords \"BRAIN TRAIN\". So he bids for the keywords \"BRAIN TRAIN\" at a certain price in terms of page impressions CPM (he pays based on the number of times his ad appears) or click throughs CPC (he pays when users actually click on the link to go to their own sites). CPC is worth a lot more than CPM since it represents a definite sales lead given by the media owner.
Google will then use its powerful search engine to match the ads to the media owner. This is where the accuracy of the search engine is very important. There are cases where it gets thrown off, for example, when we talk about event dates on a page, sometimes, Google translates it to mean \"dating\" and then flood the page's advertisements with dating ads which becomes embarrassing for a parenting portal like ours. So we have to be quite vigilant in monitoring the ads and set up filters to tell Google not to include specific websites that we do not like. And that is actually quite painful for us because it is already not easy to get Google to send high valued ads to the site.
It's pretty tough to get any revenue from Google adsense as they pay peanuts for CPM and a bit more for the first click through per user (ie. if a user clicks many times on the same ad, the subsequent times are not \"counted\"). Most blog sites will earn their first USD100 from Google after more than six months in existence. KSP.com is doing a bit better, but no, we can't feed a single staff on Google adsense alone
So you are right that members can help us by clicking on the links, but while we do appreciate that, we don't want people to click on the links just for the sake of doing that for us, because that's not what we are set up to do! Just click on a link if you feel that it contains something that you are looking for. The nice thing about Adsense is that it usually helps tie our articles together with global links that are relevant to the articles. -

I feel uncomfortable about the whole AWARE issue. Why are the new guards so aggressive and confrontational? Where are the respect for the old guards who have contributed so much of their time? Why are the new guards mostly from the same church? Is there a religious agenda? They sound like they are promoting some kind of Christian extremisim.

Here are the youtube video of the press conference for bothe the new guard and old guard. Really can see a huge contrast in the way the two groups handle the media and communicate their points.

I actually watched thru the clippings of the new guard press conference... And the old guard press conference. I have formed my own conclusions... Well just in brief, observe the tone, manner and atmosphere the two press conferences were conducted... I will only say I have more respect in the old guards than the new.ysy:
