      Thanks Tinkerbelle

Can I check with you if the swimming class is conducted after school?

If it's during school hours, how many periods of PE will that take?
Do they enough time to take transport there, change, warm up, swim....., wash?? , change back into school uniform and take transport back???

      :?

If it's after school hours, how long is the swimming lesson?

Paisay.... Even though it's 2 years later, I hv a lot of questions....
      Truely kiasu.... Hahahahahah....
      Hi acbj,

No worries....we are all the same here....kiasu. πŸ˜‰

Swimming in MCS is conducted during school hours before recess.
4 periods of PE are allocated for the swimming lessons. If I recall correctly, lessons are from about 9.30AM to 11.30Am. This includes transportation to and from school, changing, warm-ups, swimming and showering & changing after the lesson.

The gals will have their recess on the bus on the way back to school. Lessons will resume once they return to school.

            Welcome chaiconnie!

            Welcome Gin!
My DD got in during phase 2C, and we live in Sembawang (out of 2km).
You can look up the past years statistics (under schools in Toa Payoh) for a better idea.

Great to know that it's 4 periods and they have ample time to get ready and get back.

                Hi Gin,

                :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Generally, based on past history of the last five years, if you are trying for Phase 2C, you stand a good chance of getting in.

However, should you decide to only try in Phase 2C (supp), you will need to ballot with other parents who have failed at the ballot boxes at St. Nic and CHIJ (Toa Payoh). Chances of getting in becomes slim. 😒
                Good luck.

                    Hi all,

Since your DDs can only participate in swimming in P3, thought I would share with you some of the activities your P1 DDs can look forward to next year (provided there are no changes).

Currently, for PE, the P1 gets an opportunity to participate in netball, sports Chanbarra, fencing, tennis and gymnastics. The activities are rotated around each term for different classes. This programme (PE3, known as PE cube) is only implemented this year. My DD absolutely loves Wednesday when they have PE3.

I think it's an excellent programme. The gals are exposed to various games and sports that they normally do not get to try out. :dancing:

4 periods of PE???? Every year it's a different kind of activity for PE right? Does all the activity have 4 periods of PE as well??? Love to have PE lessons during my time. πŸ˜‰
