Use of correction-tape allowed in PSLE?
-
My elder boy sat for PSLE last year, went into the exam hall armed with Plus Wiper correction tape and Pilot G-Techmatic gel pen.
Discouraged, use at your own risk. -
Thanks, Jennifer. That’s what I need. cheers

Use at own risk (my understanding). -
My dd’s school told them that NO GEL PEN is allowed…use ballpoint pens only. but there’s no mention about correction tape.

How about erasable (or friction) pen ? The ink looks like pen but can be rubbed off. Are they allowed ?

It seems that all these rules are set by certain schools only. It’s not stated in MOE website and not all schools disseminate same instructions to their students. Since Jennifer’s elder boy has used both in 2009 PSLE, I guess it is not prohibited in the exam.

Hi all,
I am a primary school teacher and would like to provide some input on this.
We strongly discourage the use of correction tape. However, if your child does not forget to write down whatever he wants to. He must also check to see if the tape does not come off then it is all right to use it. -
Thanks for your info, HaleyCopterz. How about pens? I read in moe booklet and it says ‘use ballpoint pens’. So is it a must to use ballpoint pens?
