      Dear all,

I already canceled my Citibank credit cards. Though I have successfully ordered using Citibank before, I encountered many system problems, and the Citibank officers do not have any idea about it. Using DBS Amex card is so much easier, and the exchange rate is quite OK.

I am now in China, and I have ordered quite a few times from dangdang using Cash on Delivery, it is so easy !

laughingcat is right. Those spree organizers in SMH definitely earn money from you, no one works for free in this world. However, the biggest risk is that you must transfer money to their bank account before they even order the books for you. You do not know who they are, or where they live. It is so easy for them to disappear, and this has happened before. Though there are some honest organizers around, but SMH forum does not have a good system to keep track of good and bad organizers.

      mrswongtuition,
Why don't you organize sprees in this forum ? 😉 I have a feeling that you are trustworthy 😉

          hquek:
One of the stuff I ordered is a series akin to chinese readers. These are mainly translated from some foreign language books (cos the illustration all very caucasoid (I don't think there is such a word)). My kids enjoy me reading to them from this series becos stories are short and quite action packed. I feel it's good value.

There are 3 colours in all, yellow, blue and red - 20 readers in each series. Somehow the numbers intermingle. Books are quite small in size - so are the fonts (in case anyone doesn't like font size) but the paper quality is pretty good (compared with others I have seen).

Yellow (I think this is for younger readers)

          Blue (mid range I think)

Red (I think this is for older readers - more wordy)

I have got these 3 sets too. Still on the book shelf. So many books but so little time :?:

I usually have one or two books that are not in good condition due to the process of delivery, but the rest of the books are OK. This is because I ordered too many books at a time and the parcel was too heavy. Now I order only a few books a time, the books arrive with no problem.

For those that is interested in getting some of the books from Dang Dang but do not have Amex, you can try this site

              http://www.sgshinekids.com/index.html

It is slightly more expensive than Dang Dang, but you can get it locally.

lizuan76, you are a genius! That must be why I had problem ordering. I will apply for the Secure Code and try again. Thanks again.

Thank you. Bought from her before and that was because I urgently needed the book. Otherwise I would prefer to get it from Dang Dang instead. If seller can get it from China and so can I lah. Cheaper mah and I can get more books. hehehehe.....afterall I always buy books from Amazon. And alot too.

You should try. Kinda of fun!

I just bought 2 sets - spent a bomb and can’t wait for my books to arrive!!!

One thing to note: as long as the system says it goes thru’, even if you receive another page that states your submission has error, the payment has actually gone thru’ and you just need to wait a day or two for the dangdang CS to confirm. You can check your invoices and it will state as paid.
