The strawberry farm is NOT next to the cable car station. It is located next to a row of shophouse which I heard is quite popular for the chocolate that it sell.

Entry to strawberry farm is FREE. They will provide you with a scissor and small basket. If you want to cut the strawberry yourself, it cost RM8 for 100grams.

I am also going to Genting in Nov.

Me too. Am going right when school close for vocation, but have not book transport. Still thinking whether should take airasia( $59 per pax) then transit to taxi or book the coach from Fivestar ( > $110 per pax ,one which lin yi ming advertised). Any advice which is better?

😢 Genting Skyway (cable car) is closed for maintenance during my travel period.

So the only way to visit strawberry farm is by taxi? Does express coach / awana skyway stop at Gohtong Jaya station or somewhere near there which can take taxi easily?

              Where is Awana Skyway?

If you are staying in the East and want to experience flight, then go by air.

I stay in the West, WTS is picking at Lot one so no need to incur any transport costs for both ways.

Can you tell me you take Air Asia is from Changi? $59 is all in fare for both ways?

BTW which is your travelling period? and which hotel do you reccommend? TKS. How is Resort hotel?

Is it viable to go Sunway lagoon from Genting. ie Sin ->Genting-> Sunway lagoon -> Sin ?

Anyone can reccommend where is good to stay at Sunway lagoon?

I am going on 17 Nov, staying 3 nights at First World and returning on 20 Nov. My 2 kids will miss sch on last 2 days of sch term. I choose these dates to avoid peak period. Anyway, I don’t think there is anything going on these 2 days.

Many people like to stay at Resort as it is bigger than First World. I have never stayed at Resort (maybe when I was in primary sch then, donkey yrs ago, so can’t remember how it is inside now).

This is first time I made internet booking. Resort does not have internet booking for public. Anyway, First World is easier to move around as we are targetting at themeparks & splash pool. As there are 3 of us, I intend to ask if can upgrade to triple room since the period I am travelling is low season (internet does not have triple room option, although I have made a written request for king size bed to accomodate us).

Yes, you can go to Sunway Lagoon after Genting. Saves one trip. In fact I went there during Sep hols. There are 2 hotels, Sunway Resort & Spa and Sunway Paramid. The latter is good enough.

                      Hi,

Like to ask those who have traveled up to genting highlands recently by self drive. Is the road up very windy and steep? Will it be ‘uncomfortable’ for young kids to take the car route up to the top?

Another question is those that have stayed at World club room in first world, how long did it take for the checkin process before you can go up to the room? I think i read in the earlier posts that the normal queue (non world club rooms) can be up to 2 hours?

                        Hi,

Last weekend, we just self-drive up to genting (1st time drive for us). We have 3 kids (age 5,3,18mths) + maid. The kids were fine cos they were watching in-car DVD 😄 , the little one fell asleep most of the time.

I find only a certain part is windy, but the road generally is quite wide, just slow down when turning should be fine.
