All About Montessori

Hearing you talk about France makes me miss it,
If you can go when your kids are bigger, should visit it at least once. I am sure you and your hubbie will doubly fall in love all over again, it is really a romantic city.
So you were a preschool teacher in the past? Wow, you know Pat?
I called up Eton, no vacancy. Might still stick to St James for my girl in the end.
Where you get your materials, any recommendation for books to get?
Anyway, thanks so much for all your replies, they provide lots of help to me!

Hi buds
Thanks for your reply.
I were dilemma which CC to put both my child in : ( -
Hi wishababy, you may just put your child's name on
Josiah's wait list, after which in the meantime you may
find a once weekly Montessori enrichment for your child
to have some introduction to the methodology. You shud
read up some Montessori books too since you are keen on
your child learning using this method.
I just shifted up North and not sure what are the choices
available for a Montessori school here. As for East side, you
may try The Learning Curve for starters. Have never personally
visited or tried their services before but have heard or read good
reviews from other parents. I suppose their strength is actually that
they have been having the same teachers teaching in the centre over
the last few years. For once weekly lessons, you will find more choices
over at enrichments set-ups. That said however, there are childcare ctrs
that run Saturday enrichments for non-childcare students/public so it does
vary between centre to centre. The Learning Curve if i remember correctly
is located at Tampines Mart.
Regards, buds.

Have you visited the centres chatelaine?
It is important to have a look-see. Go on
your own first and before you decided on
either one of them, come down again with
your child. If they have trial class, go for it!
Since you need a childcare, you need to be
pro-active as to settle a child in a childcare
will take some time. Both child and parent
will need time to adjust. If these two are
within vicinity i suggest you make appointmt
to see both asap. Many parents have had gd
feedback abt Amazing Star at Jelapang & they
are sometimes full at certain months of the yr.
Staff turnover is sometimes inevitable. Go down
and meet the one who is and will be in charge of
your child's class. She will be the one to watch..
If you're comfortable with the teacher and observes
that she is good with children under her care, chances
are your child will be in good hands.
Regards, buds.
