      w foresight

if the hanyu pinyin word starts with 'R', i am using that too.....am surprised that it is becoming popular for our generation to use it cos it is not common and yet i know of someone else who use that too!

Ya.... the hanyu pinyin starts w 'R'. Yes, it is becoming popular and there's few in my kids school using the same character. But think the character difficult to write!

        wa!!!
and i thought that is unique!!!!
I already have 2 'R' here...one of my other online friend has another 2 'R' there.
Very easy to write. A shelter, A one, A fire, An eye. πŸ˜‰ FireEye..that is what we like. πŸ™‚

Edit: my boo-boo...should be 8 eyes that contributes to the foresight part.

jedamum, think we are refering to this character '睿' and if thats the case it should not be a fire cos fire is '火'.

It should be a shelter, a one, a small eight, a big eight and a eye πŸ˜‰

Ps correct me if wrong πŸ˜„

aiyo now the whole world knows.
hahaha...even i get it wrong! my boy's berries' teacher and chinese teacher also get it wrong! think see too many wrong one already i also brainwashed. πŸ˜› my boy's handwriting is so bad that the area there is usually a mess. hohoho.
            ya..you are right..it is more of 1 Person Has 8 Eyes πŸ˜‰
The fire should not be fire cos when put with the One, it actually means 'Extinguish'. πŸ™‚

              Hi all!

Ha! 睿 is indeed a popular name now.

I chose it for DS based on the number of strokes needed. My bro passed me a old chinese naming book (actually my dad's). After read thru briefly, I need to chose specific strokes for the name - 'tian ge' (Heaven) being the surname (fixed strokes can't change it), middle n last name (di ge and ren ge- Earth & Human) with specific strokes - ended up with a old character with 3 strokes as DS's middle name, last one is 睿. My sis suggested 睿 and i find it with good meaning, although sounds a little feminine for boy. (DH likes it as he prefers feminine than masculine 😎 )

As for the writing part, after some practice, always ended up with a BIG word as compared to the other 2 characters (4 & 3 strokes only).

DH said it looks like a cockroach ! :rotflmao:

p/s i've been missing the 'one' till lately - too many strokes - have to practice it more often before DS learning to write.

I must be the exception. I chose a name that sounds like a christian name too. I thought if the child doesn’t like it, she can choose a christian name on her own later in adulthood. Just an example…Wong Jo-Ann (girl) or Wong Jo-Lene (girl) or Wong Jae-Shen (boy)…
