Bambini offers quality materials. You haven't seen those from Nienhaus
yet! They're from Holland. Actually Tulip Montessori's materials
are from Nienhaus.
Aniwaes, the time i last visited Tulip Monte
was when my DD2 was like 8mths-9mths old, so it could be different
now. Care to share some concerns? I'm willing to lend an ear.
Btw, if you're not planning to homeschool then not necessary to buy
the materials, darling.
Yes, they will utilize the materials in the ctr.
If you wanna reinforce the lessons, can always DIY them..

Hi buds,
Actually I have been reading this forum for quite a while and saw you in lots of topics hehe  and like to read your posts. Your knowledge has been helpful and reassuring. Btw, learnt from another topic that you are expecting? If it's true, congrats!!
Actually I read somewhere, maybe motherhood, a mummy gave some negative feedback on Tulip, that made me hesitated. When we visited the center, we were not impressed, as in we think the fee is a bit high for what they 've got to offer. Maybe they're worth more than that, but it was just our feeling, plus the rubbish bin is just behind

Buds, do you have any recommendation for a Montessori childcare around the west? I value any suggestions. Thanks!
We stay in Yew Tee area.
Went to Greenfield before, didn't like it, and heard negative feedbacks too.
Amazing star Monte: hubby didn't like the environment at all.
Ichiban: mixed review so I'm unsure.
Faith Monte: also mixed review.
My son is attending childcare now. We are looking for a new center. Really appreciate your feedback

An unplanned one really... At least, i didn't plan it. :lol:keas:
Yeah, the bin... but most times the bin is clear and dry ain't it?Actually I read somewhere, maybe motherhood, a mummy gave some negative feedback on Tulip, that made me hesitated. Hoh yeah.. talk abt fees uh? Yup, i agree. Tulip are on the high side.
But they are operating like a kindergarten now right? So i suppose it
is more worth it now as compared to lesser hours before? -

True blue quality ones... naah.. zilch i'm afraid.
But relatively can do and live with it ones got laa.
That is if one is not too fussy.. abt quality.. abt menu..
abt staff turnover (etc). Roughly each centre has their
own issues to handle honestly.keas:

Have you seen ermmm... Blossom Monte in Holland? Also operating likeMy son is attending childcare now. We are looking for a new center. Really appreciate your feedback

kindergarten but with longer hours.. and yes.. please expect high fees
there too.
MMI Ten Mile has good curriculum but high staff turnover.
And boy are they like super crowded. Menu looks good &
of variety. Fees for full day... uhmm... 1k + ba.. not sure.
Phoenix Walk, belly hot! As in sweltering hot! I couldn't handle
the heat so i don't think my two girls can. Noisy too cos very crowded.
And i don't quite like 2-storey housing kinda childcare set up frankly. It
is also housed in between other houses so it's like almost no proper
ventilation. I felt it was pretty stuffy in there. I dun quite take very
well to screaming teachers. Uhmmm... it is a Montessori school ya
know.
So, i'm particular abt that.
Wharton Junior Academy at stadium basement now taken over by
another proprietor. You may want to check them out. But they're
ot Montessori based. They are IT based. They adopt the Town 4
Kids curriculum. Quite cool and new-age. Can check out that one
if you don't mind non-Monte.
Hillview Montessori? Have you tried? I've not been there myself
but just that the centre is another Montessori based ctr option
for you to recce.
Another Montessori centre i read abt was one located in Sunshine
Place - Choa Chu Kang called the Nurture Cove Montessori Centre,
i think... mebbe can check whether they are still there if you wanna
recce.
This is their listed address.. 475 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 #02-08,
Singapore 680475. -
Hi Buds,
Thanks so much for your reply.
Actually it does not need to be Montessori school. The important things to me are: caring teachers, good environment, enough play (indoor & outdoor) and good curriculum (prepare well for P1 yet not too hectic).
Are they too much to ask for?
Hehe my son currently is in the so called \"basement\" centre that you mentioned lol. It is Mulberry
My hubby went to MMI Phoenix before, he was ok with that but I read lots of neg feedback here, and one thing has always embedded in my mind was your reply to s.o that you only mentioned those centers that worth mentioning and it did not included Phoenix haha. Personally shouting at kids is a no-no to us too. I myself do not shout at my kid so I can't live with that.
Talking about environment, do you think those 2 storey house is still better than HDB based school? I just want to hear more from you, not a disagreement hehe. I myself prefer those private house set-up cos kids would have outdoor space. Isn't it true?
If I don't mind non-Monte, can you reccommend any other centers? I would have liked Pat's if not for the distance. Last week we went to see Mindchamps but didn't realize they are all franchises. At the particular center we visited, my hubby did not like the operator, saying she's cocky lol (his word). I don't feel that strong but think she's got some attitude. Mindchamps TPY is too far and no way can get a place anyway. -
Hi keas
Could u share why u r withdrawing your child fr mulberry? Would really appreciate your feedback. I’ve pm you. Thanks! -
Hi drumstick, you've got mail

sigh
