If you could, would you decide on a 3rd child?

Hello Duriz

Hi Duriz,
It's really ironic that the person giving birth still wants to have more but erm... the one providing the sperm is calling it QUITS.
Personally, I feel 4 children is more than enough.
5-7 to beyond that is just craziness, for the parents, in the house, going out of the house, growing up, fighthing, crying, more fighting, screaming, shouting, more crying .....
Sure there willl be alot of fun, laughter, love and funny moments but when I think about it *arraaarararraafghhhhhhhhhhh*
The scenario you described applies to my household...4 kids from 2 to 8 yr old....my place is the noisiest one in the block and I am the \"craziest\" mum around. :?: So 4 is definitely more than enough, maybe 3 for me will be good.....imagine the permutations you can have in terms of fighting... :stupid: -
I was just talking to hubby this morning regarding pros and cons of morn session next yr for daughter. Morning session is good but come 12pm, my flat becomes a ZOO (although just 2 kids). Diff session is good for the kids but I will go gila

Im a mother of 2 children, a boy and a girl. I’d love to have another one…hopefully another girl…before I turn 40!!
I love kids. My boy can be very difficult at times but its because of him that I learn to control my anger & temper and have more patience and understanding. My children (and also hubby) bring out the best and worst in me really!
I always wonder how and what my children will be like when they grow up…I will try my very best to be a great mum to my children… -
If I can start all over again I will have 5 .......DH also want more ....
cos Children are a real blessings.............
But how to live and work in 2 country before, have an overseas education,
enjoy your career and still have 5 kids............dreaming ?

maybe my only one DS can have 5 instead

Did I mention before? My hubs wants to get a BUS LICENSE…
WHY?
So that we can have a TEAM of kids!
I’m alright with it if we can afford (cos I have a very wonderful pregnancy and birth experience). The more the merrier. However, I told my hubs - Each of them must have their own bedroom, else I’m not having any more!
Means IMPOSSIBLE!
hahahahah!!! -
kiddo:
Darling, it's already so expensive living here now. It will get worse as time goes. Don't think it's affordable to have 5 kids...even if your son is willing, his wife may not be.If I can start all over again I will have 5 .......DH also want more ....

Actually … another good benefit of having more kids can be seen 25 yrs down the road.
As our kids get married and get busy with their own lives, they will tend to bond with their siblings more than friends. Partly due to the Asian culture of visiting our parents/parents-in-law more regularly than meeting friends. So siblings get closer after they get married and have kids
The other benefits is support.
As we grow older and physically gets more challenging, having more kids help to share the emotional burden.
Most of us, would prob be planning for retirement and old age, so I assume we will be more financially independent.
Despite not putting the financial stress on our kids, emotional stress can sometime be very challenging if we only have 1 child.
Just some food for thoughts -

I am not too sure about sibling bonding after getting married. Hubby's crazy sister thinks I snatched her brother from her. Reason being is that she is so used to bullying him to get things done for her.As our kids get married and get busy with their own lives, they will tend to bond with their siblings more than friends.

BIL turned into 老婆奴 after marriage, completely fillial to his wife instead of parents.

DH told him off one day because BIL really went overboard. Instead of reflecting upon his behaviour, BIL willfully refused to speak to DH from then on. So much for their brotherly ties
On the other side of the coin, I suppose BIL would qualify as a dream husband 二十四孝老公?
