Is Chinese complusory? I am an Indian parent…Even though my kid is taking Chinese now…I thought of Chinese to be his 3rd language…I understand it’s a good school…Wld like to enrol my kid but the mother touge is a prob…please advice…Thank u soooo much for your kind advice…

NYPS' only mother tongue language is Chinese. Primary school in singapore does not provide for 3rd language. You can do any 3rd language outside of school curriculum.

In your case, the compulsory MT is Tamil or other MOE approved MT, hence NYPS will not be able to cater to your wishes.

You will need to get a school that provides Tamil as MT, and continue CL as 3rd language outside of school curriculum

Thanks doris and verykiasu2010! Do you all noe in general what kind of PV do they need? eg. if its regarding curriculum programmes, what can PV do? I am an ex-teacher, wondering if i can contribute more to the curriculum programmes

so shld i submit PV earlier, will they accept? maybe they will allocate to the parents who need it before me hor? PV is normally done only 2 yrs before enrolment? eg 4 yrs old or 5 yrs old?

not sure now whether it is a blind application or not. perhaps recent PVs could shed some light

curriculum wise, I think enrichment course could be an avenue, just GUESSING ! go take a look at their website and see what they offer
