      Hi Parents,

I have this weird feeling when my son told me that today's PSLE Maths paper was dirt easy!! How did your kids measure up?
There is an existing thread in http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14472

I always told my students not to panic during the exam, focus on the questions one at a time and look out for tricks. Dont miss out essential workings or make careless mistakes.

Most of them should be able to score A or A*. πŸ™

Indeed, easiler is better as least they know they have cleared the paper with certain confidence to move on to the next paper.

Mellette, agreed with you. Let us don't concern of how the T-score will affect the result first but for easier paper esp Maths as 2nd day paper, it really help the kids to have confidence to tackle the next coming Science and Higher Chinese papers.

Yesterday I saw my DD keep smiling as at least she is happy that English and Maths paper is not as difficult as the prelim and esp after Maths paper, I can see her confidence level is more up as she saw her answers are mostly correct after discussing with friends and from forum feedback in the web. At least for Maths (One of the most time consuming and tricky paper) had cleared.

The paper was quite easy for me. But for question 17, i dun understand why 953 is not accepted? please explain to me

                      Me too.
My method was something like that:

                      119-6=113
                      113x8=904
                      904+49=953

I tried and tested this method with the given patterns before using it as my final answer

actually, the formula is this (at least mine).
                      119-1=118 (to make even no.)
118-2=116 (i started from 2 since figure 1 is weird)
                      116/2=58
                      58*13=754 (the diff alt. between 8 and 5. 8+5=13)
754+8+20=782 (figure 2 is 20. since 119 is odd, must add the next diff., 😎
