Anyone can tell me when you choose six schools in order of preference, does the schools matter what order you put them?
Example:
Student A puts School X as his first choice and Student B puts School X as his third choice and both of them gets the same aggregate score, will the school see them as equal or will rather choose Student A if there is only 1 place left.
Really need to clarify this so thanks a lot in advance!

No, student B will not be on lower priority than student A just because he has put schX as 3rd choice. However, someone in this forum says the aggregate is computed up to 15 decimal places. So I think it's unlikely for 2 students to have exactly the same score.Anyone can tell me when you choose six schools in order of preference, does the schools matter what order you put them?

Given the simplicity of the 3 papers so far, guess it is another big headache when come to making the 6 choices. Don't know how high will the COP of the better schools go up to...

Attended a parents' briefing at DD's sch recently. Was told by the Principal that MOE will computate PSLE aggregate scores up to 6 decimal places and the chances of 2 students scoring the exact marks are very slim.
The Principal also confirmed that MOE will allocate sec schools by a student's aggregate score first, followed by the order of his/her choice of sch. In other words, MOE will work their way chronologically down the list of students, starting from the student with the highest aggregate score and allocate this pupil to his/her 1st choice. The process continues down the list of scores.
To quote an example: A student scored 260 and opted for RGS as 1st choice. Other pupils who scored >260 and has also opted for RGS as 1st choice has been allocated there. As a result, there are no more vacancies. This student will then be allocated to the sch of 2nd choice.
Hope this helps... Good luck with your PSLE resluts. Hope you get into your sch of choice. -
