          Harloooo...

What is the reason for not sending your child to any PCF/PAP related programme? Be it their playgroup or K1/2?

          Please share. Many thanks

The reason for not sending my ds2 to the same pcf that ds1 has attended is that I find the curriculum not rigorous enough for P1 preparation.

If my area have the 'premium' programme, then I will probably consider as it is a whole different ballgame.

Hi, my name is Bernie, and I just joined, even though I've been lurking for quite some time. šŸ™‚

My DD is 3 and a half, and I'm starting to consider kindergarten options for her now. I'm trying to decide between PAP and the private ones. Any opinions from fellow neighbors in the Jurong East area?

              Thanks!

              -Bernie

                hi SGMoms,

unless a parent happens to have a kid who had gone through both school's curriculum, it is difficult to compare both. read up/discuss on the threads separately would have given you a better informed choice.

I noted that there are a lot of PCF centres around this areas. Anyone has any recommendations of any of these centres? Kim Tian, Redhill, Telok Blangah?

                    Thanks!

hi, i'm wondering if anyone sends your child to pcf kindergarten @ bishan & any comments abt the kindergarten? cos i just heard that the children there are not as well prepared for p1. wonder if it's true?

My girl is currently attending K2 PCF BISHAN at Blk 219 . Yes , it is true . My girl only has English Spelling and Chinese spelling once a week. They do not learn Maths & Han Yu Pin Lin at all . A lot of parents are very worried for their children when enter to Primary 1 . As a result, lots of parents have to send their child for tution . Just wonder , what is the point of sending to Kindergarten ?

Same for my kid. And I am glad that I recognise it early and supplement with enrichment. Kindergarten in this case is mostly for socialising purpose and so that the kid knows how to behave in a big classroom setting (following instructions, playing with peers etc).
