Hi Hi :imanisland: ,Hi Parents,
I'm going to register my kids to CPS beginning of next year.
Do you think there are available spots for non Singaporeans/SPR?
Thanks.
So you intend to enrol your kid for P1 in 2011? I believe there should some more vacancies left; maybe you can call the General Office for info. Tel: 6795 7381.
Cheers :rahrah: -

Hi lkvm,
It was very fun for the kids. They tried calligraphy, clay modelling, chinese paper cutting… The kit had lanterns, water, food and games coupons. So my kids carried their lanterns, played games and bought some popcorn and bubble tea.
For me however, the weather was very hot and with the crowd (yes, big crowd with alumni and families of staff too), I was perspiring all the time, while having baby in a sling.
So I didn’t like queuing up for the games with my kids. Told them to quickly finish up and then we left at about 8.15pm. Ya, we stayed from 6pm till then.
If they ask me for feedback, I will suggest they have more people to man the stalls and have more balloon sculpturists. The balloon person was very talented so everyone wanted a balloon sculpture so the queue was soooooo long. I told my kids not to bother queuing.
I like the Magic Show. The part when he drew a face and then the eyes and mouth started moving. That was really funny.
Other parts of the show not that memorable. hee… -
tjm,
May I ask, which is your son’s class? -

LKVM:
black shoes is good idea however as far as I know most of the schools prefer white :?
Hello,
I thought i have posted the reply for this thread then realise maybe I have accidentally log off from this forum before submitting it
Haha...I am a big sotong Leh...
My gal's white shoe always turns out to be \"brown\" shoe by Wednesday. As told by my domestic helper, her shoes somehow gets \"muddy\" stains on them. So, if the weather permits, my domestic helper has to wash her shoes on Wednesday and one more time on Friday
.
I have no preference over white or black but as LKVM mentioned - maybe the school will prefer white? -
A big Hello to all Parents whose children are in Corporation Primary School!
It’s so nice to see such a lovely and active forum abt CPS coz I used to be a student from there..…20+ years ago, haha (old already)
No doubt it’s just a neighbourhood school but it is a holistic one. It has brought me many wonderful memories and the friendship that was forged then still remained up till this day.
It has taught me well not only academically but also on moral values which I feel is lacking in today’s society. I still remember fondly when the teachers will bring us to old folk’s home to help out and perform for the old folk’s there.
Big applause to tjm, who has written so many encouraging and positive things regarding CPS! It is definitely informative and totally make me feel like having a Pri school going kid now so that I can send them to CPS too, hahaha  -
hi torres79,
glad to hear from alumnus like you.
i think the school has changed a lot has it? any of your trs still there?
so do you have kids? it’ll be nice to see our kids go to the same school indeed. unfort my alma mater is too far from jw, so i can’t send him there.
maybe hope my kids can go to the same sec or jc as i or hubby did then. it’s just nostalgic to see them in the same school uniform n singing same school song, i guess… -

Glad to have one more member to join this forum. Is your child with Corporation Primary? Which level? Mine is in P2; just finished their SA2 exam last week and next Tuesday will be the Parent-Teacher-Conference. The school is very considerate to have the timing either from 3-5pm or 6-8pm so as to cater for working parents like me
.
