Hi, I'm new to this forum. Hope to get some advice about PV in RSS. I guess I'm in the Phase 2C category so will need some sound advice as to what I can do/should do?

When is your child due for registration? How far do you stay from the school?

If your child is due for registration next year, then in all likelihood you are too late to apply for PV. That would put you in phase 2C.

Looking at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bedok, RSS requires balloting for under 1km in phase 2C. So if you are living outside of 1km, then it's best you start thinking of an alternate plan.

            Hi e2mum,

Nice to meet you here. I am also staying in Punggol. My DS will be attending RSS next year too. Are you an ex-student of RSS?
We have checked with the school bus operator. They will cater the bus service to Punggol if there are enough students. Your child maybe the first to board the bus and last to alight and the journey takes about one and a half hour to reach home. Personally, I think the long journey is just too tiring for our little one.

                Hi momilicious and appleng,

Great to know both of you. Let answer your qns, one at a time.

Momilicious - my hubby is old boy of RSS, hence we enroll our ds to RSS oso. I agreed that 1 1/2hr of travelling is too tiring for our kids. just wonder if any cabbie willing to offer this service instead of school bus.

appleng - I'm a working mum. Most probably will put my kid in student care. Yes, my ds is now in sunshine kids πŸ™‚

                  Hi Mommilicious,

I personally agree one & a half hour journey to reach home is really going to drain the little ones out. Imagine he will reach home only by 8pm. My DD now reach home by 7.15pm via sch bus to simei, she ordi looks tired at times and hungry.

You may like to arrange your own personal tpt arrangement in order to get home earlier. But definitely will be more expensive than school bus. Just my opinions.

Great to know another punggol mummy here... :hugs:
I am currently a SAHM. My kid is attending full time childcare at a centre in the west.

                        Hi Mummy of 1,

I totally agree with what you have mentioned. Our intention is to drive him to school ourselves. Mummy will send him to school in the afternoon while daddy will fetch him from school in the evening.
