From my understanding, PV is completed (ie chalking up 40 hours) before June in the year you register child for P1. Any earlier than that, school will not take parent in for PV.Hi, can anyone advise if i can start applying for PV if my ger is borned in 08. Was thinking of starting earlier since i am a sahm now but may eventually join workforce in 1-2 yrs time. So if i do PV when she is 3 but she only register at 6 yrs.. is the gap too long?? Do they \"remember\" or still register u as PV even after a few years gap?
can someone help me? -

Call the school you are keen and ask. Different schools different requirements - some allow to start earlier; others go strictly by the book (perhaps to better gauge demand during registration).Hi, can anyone advise if i can start applying for PV if my ger is borned in 08. I agree with the part on accounting background.
Dear alng and Daddy D,
May I know why is accounting background considered a value added advantage? They require PVs to teach accounting?? -
Parents who write in to the school to register as PVs usually don’t end up doing things they are trained in…if they are lucky enough to be selected, then what they do can be things like watering plants, painting wall murals, do traffic warden jobs, washing sweet potatoes, helping the school shift furniture when they move to temp locations…but never sit in front of the PC and enjoy aircon.

got aircond to enjoy lah - if you can offer your services as doctor / nurses for the sick bay / sports day / carnivals ..... and dental services for the school dental clinic
also if you are film producer and media people, can teach them on film making / photography / digital art .... -

now that you mentioned it, star search also can use for PV talent, plus can also do PV for deportment training by the relevant talent ? -

Really? I heard of having to commit art lessons too, but in another school. As long as you are selected and can chalk up at least 2-3 hours each session, you can qualify under Phase 2B.janet_lee88:
