YMCA Salisbury, next to famous Peninsula Hotel, cheap and good, clean and newly renovated
book the family room and pay at hotel, walk from Tsimshatsui MTR, nice view of HK Harbor Christmas light up from the room

you can book for rooms with double double beds -
I’ve been to hkg several times and the largest room I ever stayed in was Royal Plaza Hotel … It sits in the middle of the busy shopping area like Fa Yuen Street/Mongkok and is connected to the MTR by a long bridge … The Hotel itself is next to a large shopping mall. It may be abit of a hassle if your kids cant walk much (~8mins walk to MTR) but the room is really large … Forget about BP, Eaton, Dorsett. They are pigeon holes.

And by the way, I have used PYO several times. Their rates are pretty competitive. I compared it to wotif.com, asiarooms, hotels.com, etc. Hope you find it useful.

Hi Rose, my family of 4 (2A2C) are going to HK this Nov. We've booked L'Hotel Nina near to Tsuen Wan West MTR. The rate is $220 per nite, maybe U can consider this pretty new 5* hotel which is near to shopping centres too. -

I always use Asiatravel.com to book my hotel in HK. Going again next week....sigh!
Do you know if branded stuff are cheaper in HK???? Eg. Gucci (besides the 7% gst)?
Also, I heard rolex/ watches are cheaper there too. Know of any reputable shops?
With the current exchange, it appears quite favorable.
We are looking forward to our trip in November  -

it could be cheaper, and you are right about the HK$ - and I would add also due to weaker Euros thesedays but Swiss Francs may still be strong -
Hi all,
I am planning to make a trip this year end to experience the new year crossover celebration
And I will be fulfilling one of my childhood wish to catch a concert at the HK Coliseum for Andy Lau concert. Yeah
Any good recommendation on night market beside the famous temple st and ladies st?
