Australia, Gold Coast is good…a lot of ‘worlds’ to go to and also very nice beach. Cairns is also very nice- can go to Great barrier reef and there is this this huge playground that has water features, rope swings and all kinds of stuff. It is voted the best playground for kids in Australia. We loved it when we went there. It is called Muddy’s playground.

Yes I agree! Gold Coast is great for families. We took our boy there last year and he loved it so much. We also stayed at a farm for 1 night. We're considering going back next year cos daddy and mummy enjoyed it too, haha.
Cairns is suitable for kids? We were thinking of doing gold coast and cairns next year but heard from a friend that alot of the activities in cairns are more for older kids. What else is there for kids besides this big playground? Our boy will be 4+ next year.
Besides the theme parks, we thought of staying at a mountain lodge. Heard there's one called Binabura or something, and it's only 1 hour drive from surfers paradise. They have fun activities like campfire, nature walks etc. My friend's kids were 4 and 6 when they went, and they really loved it. -
Hi is the flights to Gold coast v.long? Im worried about the long journey flight for my kids.

For Cairns, you can take your kids on a glass bottomed boat to see the great barrier reef. This is very good if they cannot swim and snorkel. But if they can swim, they will pick up snorkeling easily.
You can also go to this place called the Kuranda Range. In the village of Kuranda, there are a number of animal parks including a butterfly sanctuary. On the highway (forgot which one but it is near Kuranda), you can visit the Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve to see African savannah animals.
There is also white water rafting, you can let your children go on the first level of rapids which is very mild. But only do this if they can swim well.
My kids really loved Cairns but they are the outdoors kind and they love water. If your kids are not so, then maybe Cairns is not such a good idea.

Cairns
I took my dd to Great Barrier Reef when she was 5. She enjoyed it very much. For younger kids, there is an "enclosure" in the sea, right next to the pontoon, where the kid can stand in. This "enclosure allows the smaller fishes to swim in n out. My dd enjoy seeing the fishes coming up close. The operator that we went with offers the "sea walker" adventure. Interesting especially for those who can’t swim/snorkel and yet wanna hv a taste of being underwater. Quite expensive, though.
Gold Coast
Jetstar flies from singapore to Coolongatta (gold coast) direct. If the price is much cheaper than the regular flights from Singapore to Brisbane, then flying direct to GC might be an alternative worth considering.
The GC hinterland has many mountain lodge options. Heard a lot about mount tambourine. -

Hey thanks for the tips! Cairns sounds quite good! My boy likes the water but he's not a very strong swimmer. If we decide to go, I think we'll bring him for more swimming lessons, still have time! But I think he'll enjoy the glass bottom boat and wildlife safari. He loves animals and sea creatures.
