πŸ™‚ But not sure for next year if the chances will be as high as this year? There might be more people under 2B moving to within 1km! 😒
      Pen88n:

Yes, you are correct - I saw wrongly. So for Genice, if you are within 1-2km and managed to get PV, chances is high.

Moving to within 1 km?? Will pp really do that? but i think quite difficult, very exensive hses over there other than the hdbs..

Anyone knows is there a parent support group in ny? when u become a PV, will u be under and parent support group?

I think for phase 2B, 1-2km, does not have balloting for this year. Only those outside 2km needs balloting. Am I right?

Yes. This year's 2B balloting is for those outside 2km. You can see the numbers from http://www.nyps.moe.edu.sg/

Yes, agreed with Vkiasu2010, NYPS PTA is very very on and strong. When yr child enter p1, they will send out letters to ask parents to join it’s optional. $60 for the whole 6 years 1 time payment.

For PV as i know even after yr child get into nyps the school would hope you can continue to help out. Ds’s classmates moms are still helping out at library, reading moms or at the new "hui guan".

There is definitely a school bus from Pasir Ris to NYPS, so your place could be the same bus.

Call the school bus service counter at NYPS to find out the cost and pick up time.

Sorry I don't have the number

                  Hmmm...the list http://www.nyps.moe.edu.sg/pdfs/School_Transport2010.pdf doesn't have Simei/Tampines listed.

You might need to call each one up.

There will be someone at the school bus counter at the meeting point during orientation. you just need to give yr address andcontact. Then there will be bus driver to call you up around last 2 weeks before school reopen. If not you can just call Mdm Peh, she is the main school bus incharge, she will refer you. As far as i know they even go into JB to pick students last time.

                        Thanks alot all...

I'm just abit worried to wait till November, if the bus needs my gal to hop on as early as 5am! I would want to reconsider, can't imaging she still have to eat breakfast and stuff πŸ˜›
