what is the nationality of your maid? how long has she been working in Singapore? i am trying to get a maid now.

Arrangements have been made with agent for transfer and I am leaving it to the agent... I do not want to be involved in the transfer to a new employer... strongly suspect that she will be fussy. Personally, I wont recommend her to any family with kids cos I feel she lacks patience and is too quick-tempered to handle children!

asking this cos MOM today no work.

i still praying hard but had to tink if she were to bring my gal to sch or her therapy session, this will be a chance for her to contact or meet her bf. my gal will be in danger as she looks normal and is in her puberty, but she cant differentiate gd and bad.

did u manage to contact MOM this morning? how about your maid agency? if u know of another agency, can call them to ask too. i was recently very disappointed with my agent so i wont recommend them.

wld u like to consider interviewing transfer maids? my 2nd one was a transfer & she was loved my son. hse keeping not so clean so have to close one eye. bring your children along to see too as sometimes kids can be good judgement of character.

Sully M, called MOM, cant do anything abt her bf unless they commit crime. if she gets preg i have to inform MOM and they'll decide if she will be barred in the future.

met agent together wif her just now. she still refused to admit when we asked. took out her hp and open up her sms and no choice she admitted and claimed she wont be using her hp while working and is not tinking of bf cos they can meet during her off day. told her we need to build up each other's trust so she cant lie to me else i wont take her. she promised and after the agent left, we have a heart to heart talk - she wanted to tell me the truth as she knows MOM have her records but indo side agent told her not to else she wont be able to find employer. she n bf almost a yr and she rejected his proposal cos of religion diff. bf is local n wants her to go study take up courses like computer, etc. they wont meet when bringing my gal to school or her therapy session. after listening to her, i feel i should n i will give her a chance to prove we can work out well.

Pardon my impudence, if I found out my maid has a bf in Singapore I will immediately buy a plane ticket and send her back to her hometown.

Reason being :-
1) Her work performance will slacken because she will be thinking of her bf everyday.
2) We wouldn't know whether did they hanky panky during her off day and suddenly she announce that she is pregnant.
3) Since her bf is a local, there are chances whereby she might bring her bf home when no one is around.

Some of the maid are good performer. They can promise you everything and whatever, once they had reached their motive then they will start to show their true colour.

I feel that the reason why she compromise is because her bf is here and she want to be with him. Because once she is back to her own country she has hunt for another maid agency to get an employer and going on 8mths w/o salary again.

do you pay the maid’s loan upfront? if yes, will the agency refund if you send the maid back on your own? cos for mine, it’s stated in our agreement i have to keep the maid for at least 30 days for her to get a replacement else payment forfeited. checked wif MOM, they wont chup cos it’s btw employer n agency.


i will give her the benefit of doubt once more since her day 1 here till now no other issue and can work.

Me too searching new maid and one of the agency whom i was about to almost finalize said the indon embassy have increased their sals and hence min is 360 for fresh ones :!:

Luckily, my new maid is already in Spore.... her salary is $360 and she has experience working in Malaysia. Waiting for clearance for medical checkup. Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that this maid will work out fine for us!

Heard of cases where the employer will send the maid back immediately once pregnancy is confirmed, MOM is not informed, otherwise, $5000 bond is at risk. I think the doctors doing the medical checkup will normally inform the employer first.

Just to share: also know of a family whose maid for 4+ years was tested HIV positive. Luckily whole family tested negative for HIV. Now, the employer does not let her maids use their cutlery and plates, etc. The maids have their own. Always good to take precautions...
