Mama of 2 kiddos -> boy, 6yrs old, going NCPS in Yr 2011; girl, 2yrs old, searching for childcare centre now.

I live in Sengkang area, hope to find likeminded kakis here

Big worries now:
(1) no one to pick up DS after sch next yr
(2) tuition or no tuition for DS
(3) no childcare centres available for DD, long waiting list everywhr

1. Consider studentcare?
2. May I interest you in my tuition services? I stay at Punggol. http://mwtuition.blogspot.com
3. Good ones have long long long waiting lists. Quite common in SK/PG. If you drive, you might want to consider looking at HG/YCK area since they are quite alright distances if you drive. Or find a CCC near your workplace.

1. PLMGS(S) at Lor Ah Soo (between Kovan & Serangoon MRT)
2. Xinmin Sec at Hougang
3. Zhonghua at Serangoon

Hi I live in Hougang but near to Sengkang estate too. I have 3 children. eldest in NCPS P2 this year and the 2ns one entering P1 next year. Youngest is 4 who is in full day childcare. Currently, all of them are taking school bus to and back from school.

Maybe our child will be classmate come 2011. If I remember correctly, on the orientation day, the transport company will be there for parents to sign up for the school bus.

Generally I find that priimary school standards are getting higher. For kids in P1, they are already reading chapter story books. For Chinese, 1st half year mainly concentrate on Han Yu Pin Yin. NCPS has a crach course during the holiday for HYPY. If the timing is not suitable, you can check out Berries and Beijing too.

My children are attending enrichment classess for all the 3 subjects.

Can I ask where do you send your kids for English & Maths enrichment? My DS currently has HYPY class at Sengkang CC (Beijing language sch).
