Soli ah...but can anyone advise....

Thank you, everyone for your concerns. Quite a lot of those ads are sent to us by Google, and it has more to do with the contents on the page on KiasuParents.com that you are reading than your own surfing habits, so please donβt blame your kid or spouse for doing any inappropriate surfing if you see some of those dating ads.
As a Google ad media owner, KiasuParents.com only provides the banner space in which Google can place an ad on behalf of the advertisers that join Googleβs ad network. We have very little control over who gets to post the ad on our pages, and we have to explicitly filter out those inappropriate ads as they come. Unfortunately, new ones come as soon as we filter out the old, so the process can be quite tedious and we are always playing catch up. Do bear with us as we continue to monitor and filter out all inappropriate ads as it is our goal to keep KiasuParents.com as family-friendly as possible. -

Hmmm... but we are all surfing the same forum (most likely similar topics)... so it's quite puzzling, ya?Thank you, everyone for your concerns. Could it be they were surfing the 'notty corner'???

Soli ah mintcc and Chief, in case you are mistaken, I certainly don't mean you have put those ads there...I just do not understand where these feeds come from and since it is inappropriate, it certainly cannot be KSP's doing. That is why I put out a question on how KSP is selected for publishing such ads. Other than that, some of the ads like Gmart is quite useful to know...
This might also be a sign of KSP's success, alot of traffic so they just direct everything here.

Google uses its algorithms on the contents of the pages being served out by KiasuParents.com to determine the nature of those content so that it can be matched with the keywords that their advertisers bidded for. For example, if you visited the Relationships forum on KiasuParents.com, it is likely that there will be several occurrences of the word \"relationship\" on the page, which Googles algorithm will then rank highly and match with the match-making services which probably bidded for the \"relationship\" keyword. That is why you will see those match-making or dating sites' advertisements. Of course, when you surf the Notti Corner Forum, there will be a lot more of those advertisements if we did not filter them out, site by site.Hmmm... but we are all surfing the same forum (most likely similar topics)... so it's quite puzzling, ya?

Because Google \"randomly\" places the ads to cater to multiple advertisers, we will all see different ads at different times.
Hope this explains

Don't worry, ksi, we are actually very glad that you brought this to our attention so that we can clarify and explain what we are doing to try to filter out these ads.Soli ah mintcc and Chief, in case you are mistaken, I certainly don't mean you have put those ads there...I just do not understand where these feeds come from and since it is inappropriate, it certainly cannot be KSP's doing. PS. I'm starting to see the \"GEP specialist\" Dr Peh ads
. Please understand that just because the ad is up there doesn't mean that we are fully supportive of those services.

So the word 'relationship' can really throw up alot of 'undesirable' ads.
Understood!
I think KSI and VKS2010 frequent that section, so maybe they get it see it more often....

Btw, CKS, don't worry. I think the Google Ads thingy is not up to you to choose which advert is showing.
However, ever considered taking in paid ads to cover the costs of running the forum? E.g. MummySG is taking in paid ads from fixed advertisers.
I'm sure you'll have plenty of business - at least it helps in the expenditure part for the forum?
I know I won't mind if the package is reasonable
