Will that majorly affect the cop or admissions etc?

Wondering will there be some blur parents go and register at the new 7 IP schools when it should actually start with those currently in P4 and drive the COP up for nothing and their kids still have to take ‘O’ Level.

All thses years there have always been students with high T-score joining these new IP schools or neighbourhood sch and go thru the 'o' level path. You can see that from the highest T-score of each school listing. These students are likely to shine in 'o' level and join the top JCs for their 'A level. Or they may seek DSA switch to these JCs at sec 3. IP school want students to do their own self-study so that more time to do research , project, ..etc, in the end subject foundation is not built. School only have time to test the students but no time to teach them subject topics, parents have no choice but to seek tuition ... may not be good to the majority .

Actually, that's not entirely true. The IP programme for the VS and Cedar will start 2012 whilst the rest will start in 2013. Those who register their kid for these schools will still have the opportunity to switch from \"O\" route to IP route in Sec 3 if they make it within the top xx in that school (top 50 for VS and Cedar, I think). Still quite a better opportunity than if you join a \"O\" level school without IP route.

since the number of vacancies avail in each sec sch is more or less fixed,
but a smaller cohort will provide a better chance compared to a bigger cohort.
