JayneLL:
PM you...check it out.
Hi Pen88n,Pen88n:
Yan,
I've replied your PM but have not heard from you since. Not sure if you have received my gal's details for registration. Please PM me again if you have not (Sorry, I do not like to post personal details openly on public forum for security).
Novena and Bishan branch is under the same owner Eleanor. I heard she is the only one in CMA who operates 2 branches. Her own son went through the programme (when he was younger) and was featured in TV before. You can arrange for an assessment with her on weekends as she's normally at Novena branch then.
For other parents interested in registering your kid for CMA and need a referer or find out more, please PM me. I will try my best to help and share. That's what this forum is about. I've benefitted from experiences and sharing from parents here, and will do my part in sharing too
Can you share more about CMA and their methods? I am looking for a good maths centre for my child. Thanks.

Wildboys,
Iโve replied your PM. My gal is in K2 now and has been with CMA for >1.5 years and I feel she has progressed well. She is doing 3 digit by 1 digit multiplication and division and additional and subtraction of decimals. I think that should be more than sufficient to cover her basic Maths foundation for P1. Please PM me if you have further queries.
For parents who are interested in the program, please PM me and I will share with you what I know based on my experience with my gal. For info, my son has attended a different abacus program previously and comparing the 2, CMA is much more "kid-friendly".
Hope this helps. -

Anyone had with CMA Tiong Bahru branch? Where is it located? Is it inside Tiong Bahru Plaza?
My DD currently is Age 4, just wonder is it a good age to start this program. When should we start & stop? At the same time I'm exposing her on Montessori Maths & wonder would this be clash a not! -
Hi titank,
Great to see you here too
. I have no experience with Tiong Bahru branch, but my twins, who are turning 4 next month, has just started CMA. My 3 kids are in Pandan Valley CMA.
Not sure if you are aware of the abacus, there is an abacus above the line, it is the no.5 I think when the child can perceive the concept of the no.5 in the abacus, should be able to start. The child must know how to write from no.0 to 9 and know the number sequence too.
I m not sure when it's a good time to stop. But I will advise to start early, as CMA do have a lot of homework and currently my children are not in primary school yet, so they can concentrate on the work from CMA. My DD1, started last year when she was about 4y 5 months, I can see the benefits of it. But some people do comment that the kids might get confused or skip working steps when come to Primary school math problem. But I guess, this is extra enrichment for them.
Hope this helps.titank:

Hi titank,
Just saw from website that Tiong Bahru branch is at :
12 Kim Tian Road
http://www.cma-sg.com/find-centre.php
Hence it is not in Tiong Bahru Plaza, but I think it's quite near. -
Princeton,
Have PM you again as you requested. Please check your inbox. Thanks
