Thanks for the comment. But I find no point asking them now, cos is over 30 June. I tink I just wait till the appointment letter comes and decide.

Anyway, Rulang is my 1st choice. If I dun get tat EM status, tink there's no way to enrol tat school, mine is between 1km-2km. Went for the PV interview, but definitely no chance to get.

Don't give up. The letter may reach you in July, but it may be dated before 30 June! :xedfingers:

I just got my letter, and glad to see that they appt me before 30 June. Luckily told my chairman beforehand that the date is important to me, otherwise my appt date will be in Aug. Phew.

by the way,if phrase 2B unsuccessful,means auto go to 2C?bt wud it b under priority still?

One advice to all, dun do it last min if u going by this route. If can, do volunteer 2-3 yrs earlier prior registration, safer. Please also dun hope to do PV in school, not easy to get selected unless u r very talented or lucky. Just imagine 50 PV out of 250+ of PV applicants.

One advice to all, dun do it last min if u going by this route. If can, do volunteer 2-3 yrs earlier prior registration, safer. saw from somewhere, it says:

-members of CCC, CCMC, RC and NC who have at least one year of continuous service immediately prior to their application
(i.e. for child P1 in 2012, the registration is in 2011, then the executive member appointed date must be on or before 30 June 2010).

Each term for the committe member is 2 years. If volunteer for 2-3 years earlier, what if the P1 registration required is 3 years later? Will one still able to continue in the RC committe after the 1st term so that he can still be a GRL in the 2nd term?

For example, my child P1 registraton is Year 2013 Jun. I apply for RC now and if am lucky enough, get into the Executive Member to serve from 1 Apr 2011 - 31 Mar 2013. What is the chances of getting on the 2nd term (1 Apr 2013 - 31 Mar 2015) so that I am still eligible for Phase 2B during the registration exercise in 2013?

Actually to get confirmed as Executive Member is not that difficult. It actually depends on whether the RC Chairman or CC staff in charge (Assistant Constituency Manager) is willing to help.

Is there a quota per RC? I saw 1 RC has 21 members and another RC nearby has 14. I am staying in the block whose RC has a 21 members. So pack! Not sure will stand a chance to be an Executive Member after being an observer

Tot once u got the EM, u will be forever there, unless u resign. But of course u hv to be active in your zone, they shouldn't sack u. I've been in my zone since Jan10, and I can see those absentees (members) have not been attending for these 10 months.

U hv to check with other experts here who has a definite answer. BTW, my appointment did mention I'm fm tis date to tat date.
