Orh... I know liao... my RC been around for more than 20 years.... always walk-over... so the term never changed since then? :P
Maybe you're right. Mine is AMK GRC and got contested in 2006 by WP.
The start date of term is not standard. Our RC originally starts on 1 Apr when it was formed in 2002. After 2 terms, it was changed to start on 1 Jul due to the GE in May 2006, kind of like reset. I thought this should applies to other RC too, weird that it isn't as what was discussed here.timtim:
Yes... April is PA's financial year.
But dunno why my RC's committee term is from Feb.
So there's actually an overlap.
Wonder if other areas have this practice as well... not very ISO standard

My area only has 8 blocks and 1 RC. But my RC is very on. Every festival also has celebration activities in the Multi-Purpose Hall
Don't think so small, a RC's zone is usually quite big. My RC alone already covers 22 blocks and we're still short of block rep for some blocks...so 6-8 sounds too small to justify for a RC to be formed unless more blocks in pipeline. My division under AMK GRC already has 6 RCs, so you imagine how many blocks MP has to take care, easily more than 100 blocks.daddy2007:
30 is alot for a RC (which usually only covers 6-8 blocks). If there is any actual case where a RC has 30 members and observers still waiting?
Maybe in those area where there are several top schools? -

Anyone can share how is the workload like when volunteering in CCMC as compared to RC?
Since CCMC is more on management & the scope is wider, does it mean a EM in CCMC has more meetings and activities to attend as compare to a EM in RC? -
Anyone can advise me? How long will it take to receive confirmation from PA to be EM after "pass" the oberserver.

I heard is about 2 months

The electoral boundaries committee has been convened and the talk so far is that there are going to be more SMCs. This is going to affect some parents who are volunteering to be eligible for P2B registration in the 2011/2012 registration years.
Just wondering if any parent is, like me, eagerly lookng out for that report and wondering if they'd be on the wrong side of the fence after the boundaries are redrawn?
