Have you spoke to the form teacher and principal? Perhaps request for a change of class and find alternative transport arrangement. Can understand your heartache. Transfer school is an option if all else failed but there's no guarantee he won't meet another bully in the new school

The other way is to encourage him to make more friends (I know it's easier said than done for a quiet child) so that he's never alone. Bullies generally like to pick on loner

My advice to you is go to the principal office to demand action being taken, failing which a police report will be lodge stating that both the offender's parents and principal failed to act; and complaint to be sent to MOE. Put it on email and c.c. to the relevant parties

OMG, no, I don't think you're being over-protective. The bully is too much and the school is even worse for not doing anything.

I agree with verykiasu2010 - demand some action from the principal, teacher, school bus operator, archbishop... and cc all your correspondence to MOE!

But I would also encourage your son to stand up to the bully and not be afraid of him. Cause bullies are really cowards who pick on smaller kids to demonstrate their \"power\". Tell your boy not to be afraid of the bully, not to show that he's afraid and the bully loses his \"power\".

First you need to have a meeting with the form teacher and insist that investigation and action be taken on what is happening to your child. Show the teacher the injuries and expect a follow up from the teacher asap. If the teacher fails to do so, inform him or her that you are going to report the matter to the principal...and if all else fails, kindly let the principal know that the matter will be brought to the attention of the MOE and even the PRESS!

Seriously, we need to stand up to such bullying and also to such indifference from the school. :x

I'm curious to know what school as I am also considering sending my son to an all-boys Catholic School. Don't have to name the school, but can you share where this school is located as a clue?

I'm surprised with all the injuries, the school has done nothing.

I've had multiple conversation with the form teacher with regards to d matter. I demanded d sch to act as a mediator & settle d matter amicably. Best they cld do is, call both parties down & \"put all issues on d table\". Im nt asking for damages, but a simple apology. At the same time, d parents would know how their child behaves in sch & EDUCATE him at home. Im still waiting for d reply fm d principal on tiz... :stupid:


Meantime, d bully is currently being suspended fm sch for 3days. This was done only after i told d teacher i am considering to opt for a legal advice.

D school too cant ensure that my son will not b in d same class as d bully again next yr coz according to her, class allocation r based on their results. Considering tiz isn't d bully 1st offence, sch shd really DO something abt it. Haiz.

some schools' admin are like \"不见棺材不流泪\"....u need to show your determination to pursue then they will be serious about it

ideally is to transfer the offending party out, not your son, from the class

Sad..& disappointed... I must say d whole system failed coz d new principal is incompetent. She was fm another sch & jz got her promotion tiz yr. Ive applied for a transfer to an affliated sch & is praying hard for a slot. Results will b out in early Dec.

**There is only 1 all-boys sch in Hougang.
