Yo!
Hi Blobbi, long time no hear.
She is from Bollywood -
dat's a pix of Ash
I go out for a bit and this thread has ballooned!
I just wonder why she bothered to sue in the first place when the weight of the evidence is against her. it was her own heavy-handed actions that caused her injuries. Since she ain't no Ash, shimmying through the ventilation opening is at least a poor option. Like round peg, square hole, gwim? -

that's why they don't invite their friends over to their house :?Let's hope d legal system here doesn't go dat way.
One of d most ridiculous cases I heard was a friend suing
another friend for her injury cos' her friend did up her house to invite dis friend to visit. She slipped, felled n hurt herself on d waxed floor.Litigation lawyers in US sometimes ask for a percentage of the $ won in lieu of court fees, which partly explains d ridiculous amounts in compensation asked for. -

Autumnbronze, I know school has politics but never quite the same as the complex corporate world.Hey ksi, your observation is very interesting.
But it has become a corporate world out there, office politics are rife and claws are very very sharp.
And aren't teachers multi-tasking all the time?? Juggling numerous other portfolios while still responsible for teaching?
Well, at least from my friends and my own past experience.
As 25hourmaid aptly put it, there are always some black sheeps among the whites lah ...

Haha. Yah like the case of the fella who sued Mcdonalds or some fast food joint when he got scalded when drinking hot coffee or the case in Canada where this guy slipped and fell in front of a house during winter and sued the owner of the house for not making sure that the walkway in front of his house is sleet free.Let's hope d legal system here doesn't go dat way.

Maybe I should sue all my teachers and schools for not making sure I become a scholar. -

How so??
Though I did have a short stint at the corporate world, I guess I am ignorant. After all, that was eons back.  -
Okie,
Read the article.
Poorly prepared defence on her side and noted she acted in a 'fit of frenzy'.
I'd like to believe that her actions are not a reflection of teachers in general lah .....

Ohhhh, your post got me 'in a fit' of laughter.
